Epilogue

"So when is the wedding?" Mom asked while looking at the both of us.

Nakaupo kaming lahat sa isang round table. 

Nilingon ko si Petianna sa aking tabi. She was smiling widely when she looked at me too. I couldn't help but to grin as I held her hands tightly. Kung puwede lang na hindi ko na bitawan, matagal ko ng ginawa.

"Hindi pa po namin napag-uusapan ang exact date, tita.. At, uh..." her cheeks blushed.

"We're not in a hurry.  We decided to marry 2 years from now," I answered.

"2 years!" 

"Yes, Mom."

"Bakit parang ang tagal naman yata, Koen? Himala na kaya mo pa magpigil?"

I turned my head to Krycelle who is sitting beside my Mom. Seeing that annoying smirk of her made me frowned. Hindi siya naapektuhan at mas nginisihan pa ako.

"Oh! Let me guess.. You still want the boyfriend and girlfriend stage?"

"Parang ganoon na nga," my girlfriend said.

"Well, tama naman dahil bago pa kayo. And it's still early. Malay mo nga naman makahanap ka pa ng iba, Petianna. Kapag kinasal na kayo ay hindi ka na puwedeng magback out.." Krycelle smirked at me.

I glared at her.

"Stop it," iritado kong saway.

"No way. Ito na ang pambawi ko dahil hindi mo sinabi sa akin na iyong babaeng gusto mo ay si Petianna pala! I thought you were just treating her like a sister!"

"Nakabawi ka na. You told her something you shouldn't have," mariin kong sabi.

She rose an eyebrow at me and she leaned forward. Dahil katabi ko lang din naman siya ay mabilis siyang nakakapit sa damit ko. Before I could push her away, she already whispered to me

"Oh no. Don't use that to me. Alam mong mas marami pa akong mga bagay na puwedeng sabihin sa kanya.."

My jaw clenched. Mas lalong uminit ang ulo ko nang makitang nakakunot na ang noo ni Petianna sa amin. I gulped and shook my head at her. Nakahinga ako nang maluwag nang tawanan niya ako at nginisihan. She didn't take thay seriously.

Damn it! If I could just put a tape on Krycelle's mouth right now, I would. 

But what she said also reminded me of everything that had happened from the very start..

It was that one afternoon when my whole life started to change. I was just passing by at my parent's room when I accidentally overheard their conversation. Nakasiwang ng bahagya ang pinto ng kanilang kuwarto at hindi man lamang nila napansin.

"I am so excited, Oliver, honey. Dati ko pa pangarap na magkaanak ng babae. At ngayon at matutupad na," Mom said in a very blissful tone.

My brows furrowed. What? Natupad na? 

"Tine, huwag ka munang magsaya. Hindi pa naman nakapagdesisyon si Perla at Bernard kung paaampunin nga ba talaga nila ang batang iyon," ani Dad.
