JISUNG POV
During one of the breaks in the afternoon, Jisung was able to find Jeongin. "So how angry were they?" he asked immediately. Jeongin didn't even smile while saying: "I think in a scale from breaking a light bulb to killing neighbors cat by accident, we are near the cat." That didn't sound too good. How would he be able to meet his parents? Jisung knew his father would probably understand if he was able to explain himself properly. His mother on the other hand wouldn't bend from her point of view. "Oh well, I guess I'm going to a war zone," Jisung stated before going back to class.
The horror inside him had grown during the day a lot. While talking with Minho on one of the breaks he had asked quietly when the funeral would be. Of course, it would be exactly on the day his parents were leaving for Malaysia. Their flight would leave at 4 PM and the funeral starts at 1 PM. There was no possible way for him to do both of the things. He had already decided that the funeral was more important than his parents leaving on a flight. They could say farewells in the morning.
When the school bell rang to tell the students that they could go home now, Jisung wasn't too happy. He would've rather stayed at school. But he should hurry his way home. It didn't take too much time in fact before he was standing in front of their front door. He tried to open it quietly but it was for nothing. His mother was already standing behind the door. "Oh, someone finally bothered to come home. Where have you been exactly?" she asked with a lot of anger in her voice. Jisung had only rarely heard his mother being so angry. He tried his best to explain where he had been but his mother wasn't in a mood to listen. "You've been to your friends' place? For no reason? That doesn't make any sense honey. Your father and I set some rules and one of them was to come straight home after school. What was so hard to understand about that? Now you've ruined the mood of the whole family and it isn't long until your father and I will be leaving for Malaysia. How do you feel about doing something like this to the whole family?" she talked over Jisung. "WELL, I THINK YOU SHOULD LISTEN! I just tried to tell you that he had a family emergency and needed help from his friend. I'm not the one who has ruined the mood in this family," he yelled before going to his room.
He didn't hear his mother following him and he was happy about it. Being alone for a while was exactly what he needed. Not even knowing about it Jisung was absolutely exhausted. He even fell asleep while still being angry at his mother. Hearing a quiet knock on his door he woke up. It was his father. "Come in," Jisung said sounding exactly as if he just woke up. "Hey, Jisung. I heard you and your mother had an argument earlier. Could you tell me where you were yesterday, I'll listen," his father said with the calmest voice and sat on Jisung's bed. Jisung felt like his father decided to know. "I was at my friend Minho's place. He's the one I'm doing the school project with if you remember. He hadn't been at school for a few days and we got worried so I went to check upon him. He was a complete wreck and I found out that his mother had contacted him after a long time and his grandmother had died recently. That's why I had to stay there and be there for him. Are you mad at me?" Jisung explained slowly. "No, I'm not mad. Why would I be? I have been able to raise a smart boy who is there for his friends when they need him. I'm proud of you for being such a great friend. Who is this guy after all? Is he just a friend or is there something else going on?" his dad answered while smiling widely. Jisung felt as if a huge rock had rolled off his chest. "I guess I do have feelings for him if that's what you're asking. Also, I promised to go to her funeral with him," he answered with the tiniest voice ever. "And let me guess, the funeral is on the day that your mother and I will be leaving?" his fathers guessed. "Exactly. But dad I feel like I must go there, he can't be alone on that day and I want to support him. No one knows him as I do!" Jisung said and he started to sound more confident. His father was almost shocked about this. He had never seen Jisung acting like this before. "I understand. Of course, you'll have to go there. I'll talk to your mother about it, I'm sure she'll understand. I'd like to give you one piece of advice. Never let go of a person that makes you feel that strongly if there's not a good reason to do that," his father said and left the room after that leaving Jisung behind to think about his wise words.
