JISUNG POV
After Minho had left he felt extremely happy and decided to ruin the mood by doing some homework. However, the homework was surprisingly easy so Jisung wasn't even mad after doing them. He listened to some music and just chilled. Then he heard his grandmother shouting from downstairs: "Jisung, could you come here for a minute." Her tone was something Jisung had never heard before. However, he was still in a really good mood so he didn't read too deep into it.
Mrs. Moon was sitting on the couch in the living room and Jisung sat next to her. "So, this Minho kid was quite nice," she started the conversation. "Oh yes, he is very friendly and makes sure no one is feeling bad because of him," Jisung answered. She smiled slightly and asked very straightforwardly: "What does he mean to you?" The question made Jisung flustered. He wasn't sure what he was supposed to answer to that. He kept quiet and didn't answer anything before his grandmother asked even more forwardly: "Do you like him?" "What do you mean? Of course, I like him we're friends," Jisung answered while trying to be smooth. Mrs. Moon shook her head and asked one more time: "You know I don't mean that. Do you like him romantically? Be honest with me Jisung.
Jisung knew she was pretty open-minded but he didn't want to ruin their relationship because he didn't know what she thought about things like this. But since he had been a little kid Mrs. Moon had always told him that lying was never the right thing to do. That why he decided to tell the truth: "To be honest, I do like him. I like him so much that it's hard to describe with words." She looked quite mystical for a while after hearing this. Jisung had no idea what she was thinking about. "Dear, don't look like you've seen a ghost. I'm not mad at you darling," she said firstly. Jisung quickly shook his head to get rid of that expression.
"You know, when I was young living life was so much more restricted. Our society is still pretty phobic towards homosexuals even though there have always been people who love the same gender that they're. I have never understood it since I've never had those feelings towards another woman," she stopped for a while to catch her breath before continuing: "but judging people by whom they love is silly to me. Love is such a pretty thing and if two people are on the same level and give each other a good feeling, why would it be a bad thing. Everyone should view it like this. Have you ever encountered anything negative because of your liking on the same gender?" There were a few tears in Jisung's eyes but he wiped them off and answered to her: "I appreciate that you don't judge me based on this. For real, I haven't encountered anything negative since most people don't know about my sexual orientation. My friends do know about it but they've always been very supportive and acceptive. Even though I haven't encountered anything bad I know a few people who definitely have even been abused because of their liking on the same gender."
They talked about everything concerning Jisung's sexual identity and even remotely close to that. Mrs. Moon asked genuine questions and wanted to know how Jisung sees his world and what kind of things he had experienced. The talk made Jisung feel very fortunate to have such an acceptive grandmother. She didn't understand everything right away but was ready to hear Jisung's point of view. "Well, this was a very educating moment Jisungie. I just want you to know, that Minho is always welcome here and you can talk about this openly with me. This doesn't change anything and I love you very much," she ended the talk and hugged Jisung tightly. Jisung just whispered to her ear: "Thank you." Then he left back to his own room and decided to text Minho immediately.
J: So, I have something to tell you.
M: Okay, is everything ok?
J: More than okay. Grandmom found out about us and she accepts it.
M: That's great Jisung. What did she say and how did she found out?
J: She said I had been obvious during dinner. I look you in a certain way or something :) She asked me a ton of questions and wanted to understand me better. I believe it couldn't have gone any better. She also said you're always welcome here and she liked you.
M: Oh, I'll be there a lot. I promise <3
J: Stop being so god damn sweet for real. Are we still going to the museum tomorrow after school?
M: I can't stop it if you don't stop it first. Of course we're, I can't understand how you haven't visited the scientific museum even though you love everything like dinosaurs and stuff.
J: I'm just that uncultured but luckily you can civilize me and take me there. Night <3
M: Good night, dream of me ;)
