JISUNG POV
When Jisung got home after the horrible day at school he thought he should work on their science project. After talking with Hyunjin and Felix for a while he felt pretty good and was able to concentrate on other things. At least for a while. "Hey Dad, I'm doing a science project about biodegradable materials with one of my classmates. We were wondering if you could help us a bit since you work with them?" Jisung interrupted his father watching television. "Oh yeah, of course, kiddo. What would you like to know? As you probably know I can tell you the most about biodegradable plastic since we pack our products in it or materials we make our clothes from." his father was immediately interested in telling him stuff and shut the TV.
After 40 or so minutes they were still talking about biodegradable plastic. Jisung had written down everything usable information. "Okay, and didn't you and mom work with peace silk in the past, or do I remember wrong?" he asked trying to get more information. "Oh yes, we did, back in the days before you and Jeongin were even born. That factory was the place where your mother and I met each other. It was love at first sight, at least for me. Your mother took a while to warm up to me. Women, right?" his father said while laughing. "Things were so different back then. Not that many people cared about stuff being degradable and recycling wasn't a normal thing to do. Your mother was progressive regards that. That's probably I fell for her. Our life was so simple back then since we lived in a small loft and when she got pregnant with you we were happier than ever before. Our little family had to move into a bigger apartment when she got pregnant again with Jeongin." he continued sounding sentimental. "This is the house we bought back then. Then when your mother left for Malaysia it felt so empty for years. She wasn't waiting for me when I got back home and it was kinda hard raising two kids all by myself. But I always supported her decision to stay there since it was her dream. We even considered moving us all there but it didn't seem smart since my job here is very stable. After a while, the house didn't feel that empty though. It was us guys living here and we all learned to respect each other and you and your brother have never been difficult. Now that she's back here with us I don't really know what to do anymore." he said and looked as if he wasn't there mentally. Jisung just stared at his father because he had never heard him speaking like that. After a while, his father shook his head and said: "Oh well, we should be happy she is here with us. I think I've told you everything about biodegradable material that I know."
Jisung walked up to his room and put down his notes that he had written. He thought about everything his father had said and he realized that not only Jeongin and he felt weird about mom being around again. Of course, it had also affected the father who had learned for years to live alone with two kids. Maybe his father wasn't even that happy that his wife was back. Did they even love each other after such a long time? After that conversation, Jisung wasn't able to concentrate on anything and he just fell asleep hoping that everything at home would turn back to normal.
MINHO POV
Chan, Yugyeom and Bambam were hanging with Minho and they were at his Chans apartment. They were listening to some chill R'n'B and playing some Mario Kart together. Even though they were having such a good time Minho wasn't able to enjoy the situation. Feeling lonely while being surrounded by great people was a familiar feeling for him. Since he was young he has had a hard time trusting people and that's why he felt as if he was alone most of the time. However, he felt safe while being with these guys and it was the most important thing for him.
"But guys this doesn't make any sense for real. Like how could you put cereal AFTER milk?" Bambam was ranting after seeing someone do that on Tiktok. "Yeah right, that doesn't make any sense. You might have too much milk? And the ratio of milk and cereal is crucial when you want the perfect serving." Yugyeom supported Bambam. Chan was just shaking his head since he was used to the guys being way too passionate about pointless things. Minho was just amused about this. He then proceeded to troll them a bit more and said: "I think that guy is doing it just the right way. If you put the milk after the cereal it gets wet and who wants to eat wet cereal?" Bambam and Yugyeom looked overly devastated and continued arguments on behalf of putting cereal first. While laughing together and listening to the guys talking loudly Minho felt his phone buzzing in his pocket. He pulled to phone out and checked what notification he had gotten. After seeing a text on the screen he became silent. Everyone probably saw there was something not nice on the screen but Minho tried to hide that feeling. No longer being in a mood to hang out with the guys he said: "Oh guys, I gotta go now. Cats are waiting for me and I still have to some school stuff for tomorrow." After that, he started to walk to the door when Chan stopped him. "Hey mate, is something wrong?" he asked and looked worried. "Nah, I just really gotta go now. See you tomorrow at school." Minho answered while holding his tears back. After that, he proceeded to put on his shoes and leave the house running. He took the first bus he saw and tried to get back to his apartment as fast as it was possible.
