I had been drawing on the notepad I was given to try and waste time. I had read the files over three times by this point.

I sigh out but it got caught in my throat as I felt a hand move to my thigh.

Oh wow.

I slowly move my hand so it looked natural as I cover my mouth to stop myself from making it noticeable. I look over to Julia, mortified.

Her brown eyes glistened in delight as she watched me. I noticed people around us catch onto my panic.

The table was filled with older men, beginning to grey and were used to being big political figures.

"Are you alright?" A man asks and I raise my eyebrows and nod at him.

"Yeeaahhhh, peachy, ignore me, I just have... allergies." I said quickly, it almost sounded like a question as I felt her squeeze my thigh.

Respectfully, I'm going to kill this bitch.

"Yeah, she's got allergies, hay fever." Julia backs me up and I glare at her as her hand moves higher. I try to hold in a whimper.

Does she have a thing for sexual acts in public? Is it a kink? Am I about to kink shame? I never kink shame, but she's about to make me.

I lean back in my chair and place my hand over hers.I am about to start freaking out. I am a bad human being.

I sigh out as I feel her hand press against my front and the guys around us become more confused. "Sorry I lost a sneeze." Keep 'em rolling Eden, keep 'em rolling.

"Ignore her. Let's continue with business, shall we?" They all nod and mumble in agreement. There's no way they don't know. They have to know.

I block everything out except for her hand and voice. It was level and calm. I felt my face heat up as I press her hand against me harder, my eyes never leaving the side of her face.

"Thank you for letting me negotiate with you, gentlemen." I hear Julia say professionally and she pulls her hand away. My free-will comes back to me and I stood up suddenly.

They all look at me confused and I grab the notebook and files. I glance at my phone pretending as if I got a message to save myself the embarrassment.

"Ms. Manuel and I have to go now. It was a pleasure meeting you all and I'm excited for the future." I smile politely. Finally, Julia and we leave.

"I like you saying Ms. Manuel. It's hot." I roll my eyes at her and scoff.

We were now in the car going back to the office. I stare out the window, thinking back to the car ride after I met her. Little did I know she was going to give me hell.

I shift to face her. "What were you thinking?!" I yell at her and punched her shoulder weakly.

"That was so embarrassing for you." Julia laughs at me and I kick her. She stops laughing and shifted her body to face me. She looked at me to do the same so I reluctantly did. "I was thinking... there's a beautiful girl right next to me who was just begging for me to distract her from her boring work."

I scoff at her but keep quiet. I hate to admit it but she was right. I am a beautiful girl.

And I'm incredibly hilarious.

She grabbed my waist and pulled me to straddle her. My eyes widen as she held me in place.

This isn't normal. This is very much abnormal. This isn't a normal boss-worker thing. This isn't simple. Give me simple. I like simple. I want simple. I need simple.
