Richard and Nina aka Ricky and Nini have known each other since kindergarten. They grew up together and became best friends, they even gave each other their new name. As time passes the two kids fall in love with each other without knowing. One summ...
The next morning was September 2nd, which meant that Ricky and Nini officially had been dating for a month. They had decided that they wanted to go on their first official date on their 1 month anniversary. Today was the first time they didn't sleep in each other's arms for two months, which meant they couldn't wait to see each other.
Ricky was so set up on planning their date without her help so he could surprise her, so even though Nini wanted to plan it as well she ended up giving in when she saw how excited he was about planning their date.
Ricky had planned for them to do a picnic in this beautiful Meadow not too far from their houses. And since he had missed his skateboard a lot the past months he decided to go pick her up on his skateboard.
As Nini were getting ready she didn't know what to wear since Ricky wouldn't tell her anything about their plans. So she decided to go casual with a pair of jeans and a cute T-shirt.
It was almost time for their date so Ricky picked up the picnic basket with everything in it and drove to the meadow where he hid it, before going back home to pick up the flowers he bought for Nini. After that he went to her house to pick her up.
He stood outside the door, pretty nervous, though he didn't really understand why, but he guessed that it must be first date jitters even though they already had been dating for a month. He took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A few seconds later Nini opened the door and jumped into his arms. "I missed you" she said as she hugged him really tight. "Hi Neens, I missed you too" he said laughing a little. As they pulled away he held the flowers out for her to take. "These are for you! Happy one month baby!" He said as he gave her a small peck on the lips. "Thank you" she said before leaning in for another kiss. "So are you going to tell me where we are going?" She asked out of curiosity. "Nope!" He said with a big smile while he laughed. He knew how much she hates not being prepared for what is going to happen, but he also knew that he was allowed to keep this a secret a little while longer.
"You're ready?" He asked as he held out his hand for her to take, when she came back out after putting the flowers in a vase with water. "Yep! Take me away to whatever you have planned for us!" She said as she took his hand. They walked hand in hand to the meadow, as he had his skateboard in the other hand. It didn't really shock Nini as she knew how much he loves skating.
"Here we are, you stand right here and I will be back in a second" he said as he gave her a short kiss before running of to get the picnic basket and all the other stuff he had hidden.
"We are having a picnic?" Nini asked with a smile as he came back. "Yep, that was the first thing I thought about when I thought of ideas for our date" he said. "I love it!" She said. "And I love you!" He said as he kissed her cheek. Who knew that they would be so deprived of touching and kissing each other after being apart for under 24 hours.
After that ate Ricky couldn't stop himself from asking. "Babe? Can I teach you how to skate? I know it didn't end well last time, but we are older now, I'm sure you will do fine!" "I don't know babe... I don't want to get hurt again, but if you promise me that you will be holding onto me the whole time I think I'm willing to give it a try!" She said which made Ricky smile. "I promise".
After skating around for a little bit Nini gave up. "Ricky, I don't really like the feeling of the skateboard rolling under me, it makes me a bit uncomfortable..." she said sadly as she thought she was ruining their date. "Well that's fine darling, if you don't want to, you don't have to." He said as he helped her of the board. He didn't pick up his skateboard but just hold her in his arms. "I love you!" He said as he placed a kiss on the top of her head. "I love you too" she said as she slowly stepped towards the skateboard again, so she could stand on it and kiss him without standing on her tiptoes. She threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. "We should kiss like this more often!" Ricky said with a smile as they pulled away and put their foreheads together.
______________________________________ Sorry if this chapter was a bit weird, I had a hard time concentrating as I'm still in shock over the fact that I MET JOSH LAST NIGHT!!! (It was last night as I started writing this chapter (it has been a couple days under ways because of school) LOL! but yeah it was April 17th for me). He crashed our zoom party (at 3:10 am ish) and it still feels so surreal! All I did was crying and laughing, and I think I managed to say "hi!" But that's it... but he definitely made my day, if not month or year! I couldn't be more grateful! He is literally the funniest and the kindest! He joked around with us and told us how grateful he was for our support, (even though we sat 11 people on a zoom bawling lol) he even said "I love you guys so much!" and he sent us a whole bunch of air kisses as he left. (Maybe Matt saw me too, tho I didn't see him, but he was sitting beside each other as they were watching the concert together 🥺😍❤️)
