MEREDITH GREY AND DEREK SHEPHERD
- it was pretty hard to convince your parents to let you go out
- they either always said no, or they would say "you can go another time"
- but your best friend sam wanted you to come over tonight
- and you really wanted to go
- so you made it your mission to beg your parents
- "ok mom i know it's a school night, but i really want to go!" you would beg your mom while she wiped the counter
- "y/n i already said i'm fine with it. it's your father who you have to ask."
- you see it was easier convincing your mom than it was your dad
- don't get me wrong, convincing meredith grey to let her teenage daughter go out on a school night was a mission in itself
- but derek shepherd was just a tougher nut to crack
- "dad, pretty please can i go? i promise i'll be back by 9!" you went up to your parents room where your dad was folding his laundry
- "y/n, i already said no. besides it's a school night and i'm sure sam's parents feel the same way." derek would say
- "dad they're fine with me coming over! not everyone is an authoritarian like you." you crossed your arms
- derek looked you dead in the eye, not amused with that last comment
- "you do want me to allow you to go out right? because smart remarks won't help your case." your dad told you
- "okay, okay i'm sorry. look i really want to go, and plus i haven't went out in a long time." you pleaded your case
- "well i'm sorry sweetheart, but you'll have to wait 'till the weekend." your dad kissed your forehead before continuing to fold his laundry
- you huffed as you walked over to your bedroom and sat on your bed
- that's when the idea came to you
- you were going to sneak out
- your parents went to bed at around 11 o'clock, so you knew that's when you had to sneak out
- your parents already said goodnight and it was about 11:15 pm
- you got on your sweater and went over to your window
- you climbed out, then texted your friend sam that you were on your way
- when you and your friend sam met each other you guys walked over to the park near their house
