summary: y/n is visiting her mom at the hospital, when her and george get into some trouble

"yeah i think we do questions 3 and 4." y/n talked to her classmate on her cellphone while she wrote down a question on her notebook. she was currently at seattle-grace hospital, where she was doing her homework in the hospital basement. y/n spent most of her time here considering her mother was a full-time resident and didn't want to leave her home alone.
"i'm exhausted." one of seattle-grace's interns, george o'malley walked into the hospital basement and sat on one of the stretchers with a sandwich in hand. george got along really well with y/n's mom, dr.bailey. y/n loved george a lot and she considered him an older brother. some even say they argued like real brother and sister.
"i'll call you back later jenna. bye." y/n hung up on her friend, before she closed her textbooks and sat next to george on the stretchers.
"what'd you do today that made you so tired?" y/n tilted her head at george as he handed her half of his sandwich.
this was a daily thing between the two of them. they would meet in the basement corridor before the rest of the interns got there. they split a sandwich and talked about their day so far.
"oh i don't know what made me so tired y/n. maybe standing on my feet for three hours doing scut, while the rest of the interns get to scrub in on groundbreaking surgeries." george took an aggressive bite of his sandwich as he ranted to the teenager about his life at the hospital.
y/n and george talked about many things, including how next time instead of the chicken sandwich, they'll get the turkey sandwich instead because it was less dry. the two went on about their lives, before y/n remembered that she had a human anatomy test tomorrow in school.
"oh my god george, you need to help me!" y/n shot up randomly taking george by surprise. so much surprise, that he ended up choking on a bite of his sandwich. once his coughs cooled down he looked at y/n with wide eyes.
"what!?" he asked her, still in a bit of shock. "i have an anatomy test tomorrow. can you help me study?" y/n took a bite of her sandwich. "of course i'll help you, but you don't need to borderline kill me!" george rubbed his throat as y/n chuckled. y/n took the opportunity to hit the back of george's head before quickly getting off the stretcher, and running for the exit.
george chased her, papers from his binders flying everywhere. but luckily for y/n he wasn't fast enough to catch her, so instead he sighed before bending down to pick up the papers that fell. "jerk!" george yelled at the teenager who left him behind. but he didn't care because he would get her back another time.
later that same day, y/n continued her school work in different areas of the hospital while george had to go back to work. soon enough it was george's breaktime and he headed to meet y/n so he could help her study.
