CRISTINA YANG AND OWEN HUNT
- the first time you brought home a bad grade you were only like ten
- your dad didn't care, and he encouraged you to try better on your next text
- but your mom on the other hand
- she was mad
- even though you were only 10, she wanted you to focus on school more
- the way she taught you made you anxious
- your dad let her know that her teaching wasn't helping you, and she realized that
- so ever since then she tried to go easier on you with school
- now that you're a teenager you have all a's
- but one day you were way to tired to study for your science test
- so you kept putting it off
- until it was the night before your test
- and you realized you didn't study at all
- you tried to cram, but it wasn't working
- the next day you took the test
- and a couple of days later you got it back
- you saw your got a D+
- you were immediately nervous at how your parents would react especially your mom
- you decided that you had to be honest with your parents
- "ok guys, try not to kill me." you would say before showing them your test
- your parents' eyes would widen at your grade
- "what the hell happened y/n!?" your mom would grab the paper from your hand
- you would tell them that you didn't really study
- "why not, didn't you have a week to prepare?" your dad would raise his eyebrows at you
- after your parents eventually calmed themselves down they decided you were gonna ask your teacher to retake the test
- and they were gonna help prep you for it
- everyday for a week your parents helped you study 2 hours before you went to bed
- when it was test retake day, you weren't nervous at all
- you ended up doing really well on the test
- "guys, i got an A!" you would show your parents
- they would gleam with excitement
- "see. studying pays off." your mom would tell you
- every bad grade you got since then, you didn't worry too much
CALLIE TORRES AND ARIZONA ROBBINS
- you would be preparing for a math test you had on monday
- everyday you would study, wouldn't retain information
- your mom's tried to help you, but it didn't really benefit you
- "honey, if you want to become an orthopaedic surgeon, you have to be good in math." "or if you want to you could, you know, go into peds."
- your mom's would lowkey fight about which surgical specialty you would join
- you didn't even know if you wanted to be a surgeon
- if it involved math, by the looks of it you didn't have interest in surgery
- it was the day of your test
- you wrote it, but you didn't feel as if you did your best
- you had a bad feeling about the test
- after school your would be eating dinner with your mom's and sofia
- "so peanut, how was your test?" arizona would perk at you
- "i felt like i could've done a lot better." you would shrug
- the next day you got your test back
- and you saw you failed it
- it was the first F you've ever gotten
- you were so ashamed of yourself
- you showed your mom's while your were tearing up
- they would quickly pull you into a hug
- "listen y/n, your grades don't define you, alright? it's only one bad grade. this isn't going to affect you, ok?" callie would lift your chin
- "peanut, all that matters is that you're healthy, and happy." arizona would smile at you
- "and kind, and respectful, which you are. a single grade won't change that, alright?" callie would add on
- you would hug your mom's and thank them for making you feel better
- whenever you got a bad grade in the future you would think about what your mom's told you
- you never let a bad grade bother you too much
the end
a/n: calzona bro, so cute <3
