a: affectionate (which parent is more affectionate? ex; meredith or derek + explanation)
i feel like derek would be a little more affectionate than meredith. meredith grew up with her mom being a workaholic and ellis obviously wasn't affectionate towards mer, and i feel like that would show in the way she shows love to you. there's no doubt in my mind that derek would always give you hugs and kisses on the forehead, especially after a rough day at school. i think meredith would have a harder time showing affection.
b: buyer (who buys you more stuff/who spoils you more)
i'm gonna say meredith on this one! i think she would always want to buy you stuff to make up for her being at work so much. i feel like derek would be like "meredith, she doesn't need that." but meredith wouldn't listen and she would buy it for you anyways haha
c: cuddles (who's the hugger parent)
derek! he's definitely a hugger. i feel like he would always try and hug you and you would start getting annoyed especially when you got into your teen years, but i think derek is definitely the hugger.
d: disciplinarian (who disciplines more)
i feel like it would be both depending on what you do. i think that if you do something that upsets meredith, she'll discipline you more, but if you did something that upsets derek, then he would discipline you more. it would definitely be a shared job between the two of them.
e: exciting activities (what exciting activities do you partake in with your parents)
your parents would take you fishing all the time! at first it was just something that your dad made you do since he loves to fish, but then your mom started tagging along and it was started to become fun! your dad always ends up cooking the fish you guys catch, especially trout. at first you hated trout, but you eventually grew to love it, because of your dad.
f: funnier (which parent is funnier/makes you laugh more)
i feel like meredith would say things to make you laugh more, but derek would do things to make you laugh. like derek would do a random dance or a funny face to make you laugh, but i feel like mer would be more sarcastic and crack jokes that would definitely have you laughing. in serious situations derek wouldn't be amused, but you inherited meredith's dark and twisty attitude so you two would be struggling not to laugh together.
