summary: y/n goes to the hospital with her moms

"y/n did you get your room cleaned?" arizona looked over at her you as the two of you sat on the couch watching tv. you nodded in response, before your other mom callie walked into the room soon after and sat beside you, squishing you in between your two mom's. "what're you guys watching?"
"criminal minds." you nonchalantly told callie. arizona quickly covered her eyes at a dead body that appeared on screen. "mama thinks it's scary." you would tell callie, referring to arizona. callie chuckled as arizona opened her mouth getting ready to defend herself.
"it is scary! look at that man murdering a teenage girl! you're never going out alone again!" arizona winced as they showed another clip of a dead body. "oh come on babe, you're a surgeon. you stare at dead bodies everyday." callie shrugged causing you to laugh. "yeah, but that's my job! when i come home i don't want to be reminded of that," she defended herself as she grabbed the remote from your hands. "fine, we can watch something else." you laughed as she sighed in relief.
"thank you."
"i really only watch it because shemar moore is really hot." you stated, earning a chuckle from arizona, and a slap on the arm from callie.
"oh y/n tomorrow you're coming to the hospital after school." callie told you as you nodded. you loved going with your moms to work for three reasons. one, when you brought your homework there, you would get a lot of help since the place was filled with smart doctors. two, it was nice to see your mom's friends that you haven't seen for a while. and lastly, when you were bored you would wander around and make friends with the patients, which was always a fun time.
the next day rolled around and after school you were at seattle-grace hospital with your moms. you walked in the building and saw your uncle mark at the main entrance near the stairs. "hey uncle mark." you lightly smiled at him as he looked up at you. "hey y/n. how was school today?" he raised an eyebrow at you causing you to chuckle.
"it was ok. same old, same old." you answered with a bored expression. "really?" mark said, with a surprised tone. "what?" you tilted your head at him. "well." he shrugged. "when i was your age i loved school."
"well you're a doctor. weren't all doctors like, you know...nerds in high school?" you asked him. he sent you a look that showed he was offended.
"me? mark everett sloan? a nerd? hell no." he turned to face you. "i went to high school with derek, and derek...he was a nerd. he was a band kid with the glasses and saxophone." he laughed which caused you to giggle.
"but me? no, no, i was a football player. an all star! everyone loved me, especially the cheerleaders." he smirked to himself in pride at the last comment. "oh, so you liked high school because you were popular and everyone praised, you?" you asked him through your laughter. mark rolled his eyes as your mom callie approached you two.
"hey, y/n. you didn't text me, i didn't know you were here yet." callie gave you a kiss on the forehead. "oh sorry, i was talking to uncle mark." you explained as callie nodded. "ok, well i'm about to go into my 3:00 surgery," she told you before she looked up at mark. "mark, you still ok to scrub in?"
"yeah, i'll go get prepped." mark patted your head before walking off, leaving you and callie alone. "alright so, until mama's done with her surgery you're gonna be here by yourself," she looked at you before raising an eyebrow. "now can i trust you to stay here alone?"
"mom, of course you can trust me. what am i gonna do?" you playfully rolled your eyes. "y/n, i'm serious. i know how you are when you're bored. you get all crazy to entertain yourself. but that cannot happen here, do you understand." she strictly pointed her finger at you. you slightly widened your eyes at your mother's strict tone----a tone that showed you she was serious and kinda scared you.
"ok mom, yes i promise." you told her trying to get her to calm down. "ok," she let out a breath. "i'll see you later mija," she started to walk off. "be good!" she yelled before disappearing into the elevator. you sighed and made your way over to the waiting room chairs. you scrolled on your phone until you were completely bored out of your mind.
a couple of minutes passed before you looked up from your seat and spotted your other mom, arizona walking down the hallway. "mama!" you called out to your mom, running up to her.
"oh! hi honey." arizona kissed your forehead. "is mom still in surgery?" she tilted her head at you
"yes." you groaned as you threw tour head back. "and i'm super bored.'" you told arizona, causing her to let out a laugh.
"well, did you start your homework?" the two of you started to walk down the hall together.
"if i say no, will i be in trouble?" you playfully asked, because you in fact didn't start your homework.
"yes."
"then yes! i did start my homework." you nodded before arizona laughed.
"ok did you actually start it, or are you just saying that?" she looked at you. "the second one." you smiled at her as she let out another laugh.
"don't tell mom that one or else you'll really be in trouble." she laughed as the two of you reached the elevator. "hey, why don't you come have lunch with me in the cafeteria?" her eyes lit up.
"yeah sure!" you smiled before the two of you entered the elevator, then went down to the cafeteria.
"yeah and then the sister dies. so that just sucks." you told your mom arizona, as her eyes widened. you were explaining a book that you read to her, and she was pretty surprised at the plot twists.
"and your teacher made you guys read that?" she took a bite of her salad.
"yup." you took a sip of your juice box.
"hey! there's my two favorite girls." you looked up and saw your mom callie approaching the two of you. "hey!" arizona and callie kissed as you took a bite of your sandwich.
"so you guys are having a lunch date and you didn't invite me? that's rude." callie said as she grabbed the other half of your sandwich and took a bite.
"how was your surgery?" you laughed as your mom chewed her sandwich.
"it went well. nothing special or groundbreaking. just the simple joys of fixing a bone." callie smiled at you.
"this one over here didn't finish her homework." arizona told callie gesturing to you, causing callie to raise an eyebrow.
"oh really?" callie chuckled as you shrugged.
"well i guess you're gonna have some work to do after lunch." callie and arizona laughed at you.
"how about i just skip the homework part and go right to the bothering uncle mark up in plastics part?" y/n quipped.
the three girls finished their lunch, and callie and arizona had to go back to work. y/n went back to the waiting room and actually did her homework, before the three went home for the night.
