WHAT TYPES OF PARENTS
WOULD THE SEATTLE GRACE PARENTS BE?

MEREDITH GREY AND DEREK SHEPHERD

- derek would definitely be the strict parent 

- like he would always make sure you did your homework and got good grades and stuff

- if you got a bad grade mer would let it slide more than derek

- one day you would come home with a D on a math test and you would show your parents

- derek would be surprised at first

- "you got a D? how'd you get a D, you were running an A in that class."

- then he would go from surprised to mad

- you would try to make an excuse

- "dad it's just one bad grade! i just didn't study enough!"

- then he would take your phone and say that their getting you a tutor

- which made you argue with him, but he didn't want to hear it

- "i don't care! we're getting you a tutor and you're not getting your phone back until your grades improve. end of discussion."

- and even though derek was pretty strict

- meredith on the other hand was much more willing to let it slide than derek was

- she would just be shocked that you got such a bad grade

- "a D? have you been studying?"

- you told her you were studying even though that was kind of a lie

- she would let out a sigh before messily scribbling her signature on the paper, and she would hand it back to you before stopping you from walking away

- "hey, i don't wanna see any more of those from you." she would tell you

- but if derek was freaking out about your bad grades she would set him straight

- "derek! relax! it's one bad grade! it's not the end of the world!"

- however calm she was about your bad grades though

- you were still more scared of your mom than you were of your dad

- meredith had a look that she gave you and when you saw it you knew to keep your mouth shut for the rest of the day

- with derek it was easy to get him to not be so mad at you with your charm, but that kind of stuff did not work with meredith

- and she was always one step ahead of you
