"hey have you heard from (Y/N) at all? she said she was gonna meet us here at 4." arizona spotted her wife callie by the stairs at the hospital. their daughter (Y/N) was gonna meet them there after school, and they were now waiting for her arrival.
"no, i haven't. didn't she say she was taking the bus though? maybe that's what's slowing her down." callie said while putting her phone in her back pocket.
"why would she take the bus?" arizona raised an eyebrow at callie. callie chuckled at her wife not really understanding her question.
"well because the bus is a form of transportation, some people rely on it to get them places." callie said sarcastically.
"no!" arizona laughed at her wife. "i meant why would she take the bus, i told her she could take my car." arizona clarified.
"ohhhh, right." callie chuckled. "well then she should be here already...i wonder what's keeping her?" callie glanced down at her watch, just as arizona pulled her phone out from her pocket.
"i'm gonna give her a call." arizona dialled (Y/N)'s number and put it on her ear while it rang.
"hey." (Y/N) answered the phone. (Y/N) was currently at home watching a movie on the tv, while eating some chips.
"(Y/N) hi! are you on your way?" arizona asked her daughter on the phone.
(Y/N) had promised herself that she would leave on time to meet her moms on time, however she started to get invested in the show she was watching, and was now running a little late.
"oh um...yeah! i'm on my way!"
(Y/N) jumped up from the couch and tried to find the remote with her free hand, but instead knocked down the bowl of chips causing them to spill all over the floor.
"shit!" (Y/N) groaned over the phone, forgetting that her mom was on the other line.
"(Y/N)!" arizona scolded her daughter for swearing.
"sorry!" (Y/N) quickly picked up the spilled chips on the floor and threw them back in the bowl.
"no it's ok, just----! what is all the noise? did you even leave the house yet?" arizona said, catching callie's attention.
"put it on speaker." callie told arizona, before arizona took the phone off her ear, put it on speaker, and held it in front of her and callie so they both could hear.
"mija, did i hear correctly? you didn't leave the house yet?" callie asked her daughter over the phone.
"well...kind of." (Y/N) quickly grabbed her jacket and wallet from the couch.
