"It seems that they are getting more further away." She spoke, quietly as she stood next to him. They stood on a hill of sand as the other Gladers stayed behind, briefly resting under the rock's shade. The hot sun's rays shone on their backs, sweat steeping through their clothes as the wind occasionally blew the sand into the air.

"We'll make it." He responded, his gaze determined as he stared at the direction of the mountains.
Thomas slowly turned to look at her, hearing the tiredness in her voice and saw her staring at him. Her beautiful blue eyes sparkled in the sunlight like she was thinking about something fond and treasured.

Strands of her raven hair swayed in the breeze and specks of sand could be seen trapped within, making him want to touch its softness.
"What are you thinking about, Teresa?" He asked, softly as he noticed she was being quiet during their journey.

"They....they did something to me, Tom." She responded, slowly as she lifted her hair away from the back of her neck. He silently stared at her for a few minutes then glanced at her neck as he quickly noticed the tagged mark.
"It all just came flooding back" Teresa whispered, quietly as she softly smiled at him.

"Your memories?" Thomas whispered back, intrigued as he saw her meekly nod. He felt heat rise onto his cheeks at her angelic smile, directed towards him and stepped closer towards her.

"What do you remember?" He asked, wanting to know what he had forgotten as he intently stared at her. Thomas watched her cheeks quickly flush red at his question, making him more curious as he briefly thought the colour made her look even more beautiful.

"I remember when they first bought you in. I was taller than you and faster." She responded, a bright smile on her face as she stared back at him.
"Ok. What else?" He asked, softly as he chuckled at her. He unknowingly had a small smile growing on his face, her voice soothing him from a hard day of hiking.

"I remember our pillow fights when we snuck out at night. I always win." She answered with a slight laugh, making Thomas smile. His brown eyes held a soft glimmer as he spotted the playful look in her beautiful blue eyes. She was teasing him.

"I never won once?" He spoke, grinning as he watched her pretend to think. She stroked her chin as she lightly hummed which he found strangely adorable.
"I may have let you win once or twice." Teresa responded, trying to barely contain her laugh as she saw him frown.
"You weren't a good friend, Teresa." Thomas answered as he smirked at the shocked look on her face.

"I was your best friend!" She yelped quietly, her cheeks flushing red by the minute as they stared at one another. He continued to grin at her, honestly happy with this information she told him about their past. They were best friends before the maze but her....her red flushed cheeks said something else. Teresa was hiding something from him.

"Is that all?" Thomas whispered, slowly as he noticed her avoid his gaze. He watched her fiddle nervously with her scarf as she licked her dry pink lips.
"Yes. We were best friends." She whispered back, quietly as she looked at him. His brown eyes still held a soft glimmer, his brown hair sweaty as he silently stared at her.

"I don't believe you...."He muttered, softly as he stepped towards her. His brown eyes quickly darkened as he saw her pull her pink lip behind her teeth.

"I lied." Teresa spoke, shakily as she unknowingly moved closer to him. Their eyes locked, the sounds of the other Gladers becoming distant as they stared at one another.
"What else?" Thomas whispered, quietly as he stared at her soft pink lips.

"We....we were lovers...." She whispered under her breath, softly as she felt pleasant tingles spread through her body. He didn't reply, just stared at her pink lips with darkened brown eyes. Lips he kissed before. Lips he wanted to kiss again.

"I'm glad you were my lover, Teresa." He muttered, softly as he caressed her cheek.
"Me too." Teresa responded, quietly as she leaned into his warm touch. Their eyes locked, burning with passion and love as the outside world became muted and distant.

"There they go again. They're bloody sending love eyes to each other." Newt spoke, loudly as he snickered at the two standing a few inches apart.
The other Gladers glanced at Newt then at Thomas and Teresa, noticing they looked like they were about to kiss.

Minho coughed loudly, breaking the two from their intense staring match as he smirked victoriously at their red faces. It wasn't the heat.
