Set after the Death Cure au

It was the middle of the day, the safe haven buzzing with normal duties as the birds chirping in the distance could be heard. She was currently working in the kitchen as her fingers tucked a loose hair strand behind her ear, busy stirring the mixture in the bowl. There had to be no lumps this time.

"Teresa, you know I can do this. I don't mind the extra work." Frypan spoke, amused at her concentration as he continued cutting some greens and glanced at her.
"I want to help, Fry. Watch me make this super creamy." She responded, cheerfully as she playfully pointed the wooden spoon at him.

Frypan shook his head with a chuckle, knowing how stubborn she could be sometimes while cooking with him. It took a while but after they arrived at their new home, they eventually forgave Teresa and now look where they were.

"Do you think the others will like it?" Teresa asked, curiously as she paused and glanced at him. A certain brown eyed boy flashed in her mind, wondering if he would like her cooking or not.
"I'm sure it'll be fine." Frypan responded, calmly as he patted her shoulder in reassurance.

Teresa nodded at his words, glancing down at her bowl before she dipped her finger into the creamy mixture and brought it to her mouth. Her blue eyes quickly sparkled in delight, finding the texture soft and subtle as she moaned at the delicious taste. She knew now it was perfect.

"It's delicious! They'll love it! Maybe I'll add some crushed berries as a finishing touch." She spoke, happily as a warm smile grew on her face. Her finger was still covered in the creamy mixture, not noticing the footsteps approaching behind her as she became distracted with making her dish even better.

"What's delicious?" A familiar voice suddenly whispered into her ear, causing her to become startled and became face to face with mischievous brown eyes. Thomas.

"Tom, don't sneak up on me like that!" She yelled, annoyed as she stared at him. Her heart pounded faster and faster, not knowing if it was because he startled her or the drops of sweat on his forehead and brown hair made him look even more attractive. He probably came back from a run with Minho and decided to visit.

"But it's fun." He responded with a chuckle as his lips tilted into a smirk. It was amusing when he caught her off guard, watching her half-heartedly roll her eyes at him in response. He honestly found himself addicted, wanting to see her after every run for the day as he stared back at the adorable sight of Teresa cooking.

"What's with the mess, Teresa?" Thomas asked, still smirking as he glanced at the messy table she was working on. He stifled a laugh as he watched her shyly avert her gaze in embarrassment and knew she was probably too focused to notice.

"I managed to perfect a dish for dinner later. You'll definitely like it." She answered, softly as she unknowingly moved closer to him. Excitement spread through her chest, watching him glance at her bowl in curiosity as she fondly smiled at him. She hoped he liked it.

"Really? Let me have a taste." He responded, intrigued as he grabbed her finger and brought it to his mouth. A creamy soft texture with a hint of sweetness exploded in his mouth, not noticing the shocked look on her angelic face.

He briefly heard Frypan leaving the kitchen, his footsteps fading as the cook preferred not to watch them flirt in front of him. It was better to walk away and leave the two alone.

Her cheeks instantly flushed red at his actions as she watched him suck on her finger, words clogged in her throat. A soft whimper unknowingly escaped her mouth, her pulse racing as their eyes met in that moment.

Intense electricity filled the air as they silently stared at each other, both not pulling away. His tongue slightly brushed her finger, causing a shiver to spread through her body.

"It tastes good...." Thomas spoke, quietly as he released her finger from his mouth and nodded at the mixture bowl. He liked the soft texture, a smug look in his brown eyes as he noticed her red flushed cheeks. She was speechless.

After a while, Teresa quickly straighten herself up as determination clouded her blue eyes. She placed the bowl onto the kitchen table and lunged forward, pressing a light kiss on his aching lips.

He froze at her kiss, his breath stolen as he briefly felt the softness of her pink lips. Her soft pink lips tasted sweet, her taste still on his lips as heat rose onto his cheeks. This time he was speechless.

"Payback, it does tastes better this way...." Teresa giggled, playfully as she stared at him. She crossed her arms across her chest, a victorious smile on her face as she noticed him glance away from her.

"A surprise attack is unfair, Teresa...." He muttered in a barely audible voice as he felt his lips still tingling from her warmth. His heart was pounding faster and faster, loving her sweet taste and saw her pink lips tilted up into a smirk. She won this round.
