Set in the Death Cure au
———-
The building rumbled, the violent flames licking its surfaces as everything began collapsing. She stared up at the berg, her dark raven hair swaying in the wind as her tearful blue eyes stayed locked with his brown eyes. Glistening tears streamed down her cheeks, her heart feeling lighter as she knew he was safe now. She saved him.

"I love you, Thomas." She whispered, softly as her words echoed into his head. A last confession of her love for him, their desperate kiss forever cherished in her mind.
A pure lovingly smile grew on her face as she swallowed the lump of emotion in her throat, ignoring the other's eyes on her. In the end, she tried....

Thomas intently stared at the girl below, his blood ran cold as he heard her last words. His chest ached, feeling frozen as he saw the other building crash onto this building. She screamed in fear, collapsing onto her knees.

"Teresa!" He shouted, loudly as he stretched his arm out in her direction. His brown eyes held a terrified look as he saw the look of acceptance on her face, smiling her angelic smile at him. She was saying goodbye.

Fear spread through his chest, feeling helpless as he stared at her watery blue eyes. He couldn't deny it anymore, he felt empty without her. Waves of guilt slammed into him, hating himself as he crawled closer to the edge. To her.

His brown eyes quickly changed and darkened as his jaw clenched. No. He couldn't lose her. The berg hovered close to the building, the flames rising as the building started crashing into the abyss.

Thomas mustered all the strength he had left, thinking only about her as he desperately lunged for Teresa. His strong muscular arms wrapped around her, cradling her head to his chest as they slid down the berg. She frantically clung to him, her arms flung around his neck as their bodies pressed together.

Tears were streaming down her cheeks, disbelief clouding her blue eyes. He saved her. She stared up at darkened brown eyes, his sweaty hair falling over his face as he silently stared back at her.

He pressed his forehead against hers, breathing shakily as his heart felt lighter, knowing she was alive.
"Tom...." She whispered, softly as she breathed in his presence.

His hold on her small waist protectively tightened, keeping her close to him.
"Your not allowed to leave me...." He muttered in a barely audible voice as he breathed her in.
She nodded against his forehead, tears escaping her blue eyes as she relaxed into his strong arms.

"I love you too, Teresa." He whispered, softly as his words echoed into her head. His answer to her confession, his love for her. She breathed in shakily, her fingers caressing his sweaty neck as she felt him lean into her touch. Their eyes were closed in bliss, happy they were together again as the outside world became forgotten.

Minho silently watched the two clinging to each other on the berg ground like the world would rip them apart. He quickly saw Teresa passed out, noticing Thomas cradling her face in concern even if he was the one with the bullet wound.

He ran towards them, worry spread through his chest as he heard Vince following behind him.
"Check on her first." Thomas muttered, quietly as he sat up and gathered a unconscious Teresa into his strong arms.

His brown eyes held a stubborn glimmer, wanting to make sure she was ok as he protectively wrapped his arms around her small waist. Blood stained his shirt and hands, not caring about anything except her.

Minho shook his head in disbelief, knowing Thomas was in a more critical condition as he gestured for Vince to check on Teresa. He knew Thomas wouldn't let them heal him until they checked Teresa first.

"She's ok. Just exhaustion." Vince spoke, calmly as he examined Teresa then glanced at Thomas. He briefly felt Minho hovering behind him.
"Good...." Thomas muttered, softly as he rest his head against hers. He never wanted to leave her again.

He briefly felt Minho and Vince checking his bleeding wound in his stomach, his gaze still fixated on Teresa as dark spots clouded his vision. They were finally safe.
