Set in after the Death Cure au
———
The early sun was shining, peeking through the log gaps of their hut as the people busy with their responsibilities could be heard in the distance.
She was enclosed in his strong arms, her small body pressed against his as she burrowed into his warmth.Teresa stared at his sleeping face, finding him adorable and lovingly caressed his brown hair. Her dark raven hair was spilled over his chest and forearm as she silently glanced to the cot. Jace was still sleeping just like his father, tucked warmly in his blanket with the makeshift toy in his hand. Gifted by his Uncle Newt.
She sighed fondly at the little family she made with Thomas, noticing him burying his face into her soft raven hair. Jace was a energetic baby, curious about everything and everyone but was spoiled by his Uncle Minho and Newt.
Since having Jace, she noticed Thomas was even more protective of her and their baby boy. Something they both fiercely shared.
"Wake up, Tom...." She whispered, softly as she pressed a light kiss on his jaw. Her husband had work to do today and she knew Jace had to be fed before he started crying again. The fabric of Thomas's shirt she was wearing brushed against his skin as his hold on her waist unknowingly tightened, keeping her pressed against his chest.
"No...." Thomas murmured, sleepily as his nose lightly brushed along her neck. His voice was thick with sleep, feeling too comfortable with his wife in his arms. He smirked, feeling her slightly shiver and clutch his shirt.
"Tom, you need to get up...." She whispered, shakily as his large hand slipped up her shirt and caressed her bare skin. He was trying to distract her.
"Do I have to?" He muttered, softly as he was mesmerised by her beautiful blue eyes. Sometimes he couldn't believe this was his life now, Teresa and Jace. He didn't know he could ever be this happy before but their time of being married and having Jace proved him wrong.
Thomas slowly rolled them around, keeping her close to him as he pinned her to the bed. He greedily planted hot wet kisses along her neck, not wanting to leave their hut yet. He loved the sounds of her moans in his ear and her fingers threading through his hair whenever they drowned in each other.
"Tom...." She moaned, breathlessly as her blue eyes became heavy lidded. After years of being together, they still couldn't get enough of one another. She gasped, watching his mouth feverishly kissing and sucking the soft skin of her collarbone as his fingers pushed her shirt down her shoulder.
A loud cry suddenly broke their heavenly bubble, causing them to turn their heads towards a weeping Jace. He was kneeling in the cot, his makeshift toy fallen onto the ground as he tried to grab it through the bars.
"To be continued...." Teresa whispered, softly as she pressed a light kiss on his aching lips. She briefly felt Thomas smile against her lips and shifted out of his strong arms, her gaze focused on her baby boy.
"It's ok. Mommy is here." She spoke, lovingly as she cradled Jace in her arms. A small smile grew on her face, watching Jace slowly calm down as she placed the makeshift toy back into his hand.
Teresa gently wiped the tears off his chubby cheeks, noticing him chewing on toy's ear. She briefly saw Thomas getting up, a soft glimmer in his brown eyes as he walked towards them.
"Hey, Bud." He spoke, softly as he stroked his son's brown hair. A fond smile was plastered across his face, Teresa passing him their child as she went to find his bottle. He chuckled, watching Jace's blue eyes sparkle in the sunlight as he curiously touched his face.
It was another day in paradise, Thomas finally felt content with his life. He had a family to provide, take care of and protect. It was something he always dreamed of.
