"She looks healthy. When was her last treatment?" She whispered, quietly as she gently took the tag device off his neck. Her fingers softly caressed his neck, not wanting him to get hurt as she felt him unknowingly lean into her touch.

"The last time we saw you." He muttered under his breath as he silently sat on his chair, his arms over the handle.
"All done." Teresa whispered, softly as she swallowed the lump of emotion in her throat. She knew this would the last time she would ever touch him.

"Good." He muttered, quietly as he slowly got up from his chair. He already missed the warmth of her fingers against his skin, watching her stare at him longingly.
"I have to try, Tom...." She whispered, softly as her blue eyes glistened with unshed tears. Her chest ached, knowing she hurt him but she hoped he would understand.

"You made your choice...." He whispered, quietly as he stared back at her. His jaw clenched, noticing the tears in her beautiful blue eyes as he knew she was holding them back.
"I know...." She muttered, softly as a leaked tear escaped her blue eyes. She never meant to hurt him but she did, something she regretted.

He silently stared at her, his expression unknowingly softening at the sight of her tear on her angelic face. His chest ached, knowing he shouldn't care about her but he did and always would.

"I just want you to know you'll always be my best friend, Tom. Even if you don't remember." Teresa whispered, softly as she smiled at him lovingly for the last time. Her mind swirled with cherished memories of them before the maze, making her miss him even more.

She let out a shaky breath and slowly walked away towards his friends, ready for the mission. A firm hand suddenly grabbed her wrist, making her turn around and becoming face to face with Thomas's intense gaze.

"Your making it harder for me to hate you...." Thomas muttered, quietly as he stared at her. His heart felt lighter at her honest words, feeling the undeniable connection between them again.
"It's the truth....." She whispered under her breath as her blue eyes sparkled with tears and stared back at him. She desperately held her tears back, knowing he didn't remember all those past memories of them.

"I know...." He muttered in a barely audible voice as he tightened his hold on her wrist. His brown eyes held a hidden soft glimmer as her words swirled stubbornly in his mind and brought her closer to him. Their eyes locked, burning with a unknown connection as they stared at each other.

"Everything alright here?" Gally spoke, firmly as he stared at Teresa then at Thomas. He narrowed his eyes at Teresa in mistrust, noticing her staring at the ground as she silently wiped her any leaked tears with her hand.

"Everything's fine, Gally." Thomas muttered, still looking at Teresa as he watched her avoid his gaze. He saw the hidden pain in her beautiful blue eyes until she glanced away and stared at the ground. She missed him, just as he missed her.
