Maya POV
"Elva come on sweetheart we need to go," I said, grabbing my smoothie from the blender.

"Elvie!" I said again.
I found her in her bedroom trying to tie her shoes.
"Help mommy," she said frustratedly.
I chuckled and joined her on the floor, lifting her leg onto my lap to tie her laces.
"Have you chosen some toys to bring Elva? It might be a long day," I reminded her.
"Over there," she nodded, pointing to a small pile in the corner.
"You need extra clothes too," I said, standing us both up.
I put her toys and extra clothes in her backpack.
"Ready?" I asked, fastening up her coat.
She nodded, taking hold of my hand.
"Walking?" She asked as we headed out the apartment.
"We're gonna drive today Elvie, the weather isn't nice enough to walk," I explained.
"Can I sit in the front?" She said eagerly.
"No sweetie, you're too little," I told her.
She pouted but didn't put up a fight. Once we were both in the car, I drove to the station.
"When can I drive?" Elva asked from the back seat.
"Not for a very long time," I laughed, pulling into my space.
We got out the car and a big gust of wind slammed Elva's door shut, just as she was about to grab her backpack.
She jumped back and looked at me.
"That was close bubba, let mommy get your bag," I said, reopening the door and grabbing it.
The wind was already picking up. Taking Elva's hand, I led her into reception.
"Go out your things in mommy's office, I'll be there in a minute," I said, holding the door open for her.
I spoke to the guy on reception and reminded him that we were open today for civilian walk ins and to keep a list of anyone who does come in.
"Yes Captain," he nodded.
"Elvie sweetie, I'm just going to get changed in here. I won't be long," I told her, going into the on call bedroom.
"Nooo," she said, running over to me.
I let her in the room and quickly started to get changed, folding my jeans and top into a pile.
"Is Andy here yet?" She asked as I buttoned up my shirt.
"Let's go find out," I smiled, leading her back out.
There was a huge whistle of wind as we walked through the station.
