Maya POV

"W-w" Elva struggled to get out.

"Big breath baby," I said softly, my heart in my mouth.

With tears still falling, clinging to her mama, she tried to inhale.

"W-winter," she finally got out.

"She's called Winter?" I asked, wanting to clarify.

Elva nodded and lay back against Carina.

"That's a pretty name bambina," Carina said gently.

I don't know how Carina was remaining so calm. I was completely freaking out. Was Elva making this up? Had she imagined her?

And if this was true, what on earth where we going to do?

"Can you tell us anything else about her bella?" Carina encouraged, attempting to remove Elva from hiding practically inside her shirt.

"M-mama no," she whined, trying to remain with her face hidden away.

"Shhh bambina it's okay. You're not in any trouble," Car replied, not giving into her.

Elva looked over at me, I could tell she was working out whether she would stand any chance at getting to hide against me instead.

"Come on bubs, tell mommy and mama all about Winter," I said, reaching my hand out to stroke her cheek.

"She's bigger," Elva said, confessing a tiny detail.

"She's your big sister?" I asked to which Elva nodded in response.

"How hold is she?" Carina asked.

Elva shrugged her shoulders, it would make sense that she wasn't sure.

"One time,," she began before stopping herself.

"Go on bubs," I encouraged.

"One time, she made a picture of a birthday cake," she told us.

I frowned wondering where this was going.

"It had 8 on it. Winter said it was her birthday and she said I could pretend to blow the candles out on the picture. She told me to make a wish," Elva explained to us.

So depending on when this was, Winter could possible be aged between 9-12 by now I thought.

"Do you remember what you wished for bambina?" Carina asked her, probing a little now Elva had calmed down.

"I wished that Winter could have a real birthday cake," she said, looking down and playing with her tiny hands.

"That was a very kind wish Elva," I assured her.

"Where did you and Winter live?" I asked, desperately needing to know more information.

"With Susan then uncle," she said, her face scrunching showing Carina and I she was uncomfortable with these memories.

"Who's Susan bella?"

She frowned.

"I think she was my first mommy, but she wasn't called mommy," Elva told us.

This was the very first time we were hearing about Elva's birth mom and I suddenly felt incredibly sick.

"Then what happened to Winter baby?" I asked.

"It's blurry mommy," Elva frowned, bringing her hands up in fists by her head.

"Just try your best Elvie,"

"Jane kept coming to uncles house," she said, starting to remember things.

"Winter always hid,"

"I think that's when she said to forget her and not tell Jane," Elva confessed, beginning to get a little distressed again.
