Being back from Winter Break, Y/n had spent most of her time cooped up in library to look for Nicholas Flamel with her three best friends.
Harry had recently told her about how Dumbledore warned him not to go to the Mirror of Erised again and it was being moved.
Y/n knew Harry was quite sad about it.
She sighed, flipping through another page. Harry, Hermione and Ron were sitting on the other end of the table somehow.
As if her mind has clicked, she jumped from her seat, catching the attention of Harry. " What's wrong? "
" I got it. Wait! " She shut the book and reacged another section, setting it aside, she jumped and grabbed a big think book and raced towards the three.
" Oh, right! " Hermione face palmed and Y/n quickly flipped through pages. " That's where I've wondered I read it. You were reading it a while ago, weren't you? "
Y/n muttered, tapping on the page. Hermione nodded, tugging the book closer. "Of course, I've got you looking up in the wrong section. I used this weeks ago for bit of a light reading. Here. "
" Nicolas Flamel, " she whispered dramatically, " Is the only known maker of the Sorcerer’s Stone! " This didn’t have quite the effect she’d expected.
" The what?" said Harry and Ron,causing Y/n to face palm.
" Oh, honestly, don’t you two read? Look — read that, there." She pushed the book toward them, and Harry and Ron read:
" The ancient study of alchemy is concerned with making the Sorcerer’s Stone, a legendary substance with astonishing powers. The Stone will transform any metal into pure gold. It also produces the Elixir of Life, which will make the drinker immortal.
There have been many reports of the Sorcerer’s Stone over the centuries, but the only Stone currently in existence belongs to Mr. Nicolas Flamel, the noted alchemist and opera lover. Mr. Flamel, who celebrated his six hundred and sixty-fifth birthday last year, enjoys a quiet life in Devon with his wife, Perenelle (six hundred and fifty-eight). "
He finished in awe and Y/n nodded, grinning. " So we figured who Nicholas Flamel is. And now the stone's in Hogwarts and that dog is protecting it. We should talk to Hagrid. "
Harry nodded, " A stone that makes gold and stops you from ever dying! No wonder Snape’s after it! Anyone would want it."
" And no wonder we couldn’t find Flamel in that Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry," Ron spoke up. " He’s not exactly recent if he’s six hundred and sixty-five, is he? "
