Y/n stepped on the frozen lake, grinning to herself as she started moving towards the middle.
" How's it going with Luis? "
" We've been splendid. What about you and Malfoy? " Y/n frowned, taking a spin and landing perfectly.
Mariette shrugged, " We've kissed a few times since the ball and I was going to ask him for Hogsmeade tomorrow. " Y/n smiled, nodding.
" Mary, don't get me wrong, " Y/n started, skating towards the girl, " Not my place to intrude in what's going on between you and him, but as much as I've seen, Malfoy isn't the best at being a boyfriend. "
Y/n said nervously but to her surprise, Mariette laughed, " N/n, thanks for worrying. I've been told that literally many times. " Y/n let out a sigh, heading back to practicing her balance.
" But I guess it's worth enjoying while it lasts, isn't it? " Mariette smiled sadly and Y/n realised she knows Malfoy isn't interested in her.
" So, you're just going to wait for the heart break? " Y/n whispered and Mariette shrugged, " I think it's worth it. "
Y/n smiled and nodded.
" A race? "
Y/n beamed, " Oh, you know it. " Said the noirette as she started to stand beside a standing point.

Y/n whipped around, " What are you doing here? " She laughed as Blaise grinned, shrugging.
" Oh, your friends are here too! " Mariette squealed and Y/n waved at Harry, Ron and Hermione. Harry chuckled as Y/n reached him, " Come on! "
" I've never tired that before. " He grumbled and Y/n smirked, " You will, now. " She changed his shoes to skating blades and he yelped.
" You really want me to embaress myself, don't you? " He huffed and Y/n rolled her eyes and turned to Ron and Hermione, " Come on, both of you! "

" Just do it, Ronald. " Hermione said and Y/n giggled. " It's easy. You just have to balance. "
" Coming from who? " Harry gave her a lopsided grin and the noirette rolled her eyes. " Come on, Harry. It's going to be fun. "
" Yeah, he'll fall on his arse and break his face. " Came Malfoy's voice and Y/n groaned.
" Can't you like, take a break and have fun with your girlfriend and best friend? " Y/n huffed, crossing her arms.
Draco rolled his eyes, " Whatever! " He stepped on the ice too, his skates suddenly changing.
Y/n beamed before turning to Harry. " I'll drag you! You just balance. " Harry pursed his lips and nodded, causing Y/n to giggle.
