Waiting by the stairs, Y/n couldn't help but tap her leg impatiently. Ron and Hermione were talking about something she didn't bother to listen.

Harry was in the Hospital Wing after last night, and he still wasn't coming out. Sighing, she decided to make her way down the stairs and check herself.

As she entered the Wing, she spotted Dumbledore making his way towards the door. The old wizard smiled, his eyes twinkling. " Ah! Miss Moonstone. "

" Evening, professor. Is Harry
okay? " She peeked by and Dumbledore chuckled softly. " Yes, Y/n. He's alright. I'll leave you two to it. "

Y/n beamed, nodding. Once Dumbledore had walked past her, Harry appeared, fixing his tie.
" Harry! " Y/n grinned, making the boy grin.

Y/n didn't waste any second to run and throw her arms around Harry's neck.
The two stumbled but Harry managed to balance. " Thank God you're fine. Oh, also, I told you so. "

Harry chuckled, nodding. " Yeah, yeah! It was Quirrel. " What the two didn't know was Dumbledore smiling fondly at their interaction.

The two walked out and spotted Ron and Hermione. " Alright there, Ron? Hermione? "

" Let's go! I don't want to miss the feast. Even though we won't win the house cup. " Y/n huffed and the four reached the Great Hall.

Once they took seats, the Great Hall was still filled with chatter and whispers about Quirrel. Dumbledore stood up and the voices died down.

" Another year gone, " Dumbledore starts, " And now as I understand it, the house cup needs awarding. And the points stand thus: In fourth place, Gryffindor, with three hundred and twelve points; in third, Hufflepuff, with three hundred and fifty-two; Ravenclaw has four hundred and twenty-six and Slytherin, four hundred and seventy-two. "

The Slytherins started clapping and cheering while other houses sulked a little, mainly Gryffindors.

" Yes, yes, well done, Slytherin,"  said Dumbledore causing everyone to quite down yet once again, " However, recent events must be taken into account."

The room went silent. The Slytherins’ smiles were wiped off of their faces.

" Ahem,"  said Dumbledore. " I have a few last-minute points to dish out. Let me see. Yes . . .First — to Mr. Ronald Weasley . . ."

Ron flushed, causing Y/n chuckle as he tried to hide from everyone's eyes.

". . . for the best-played game of chess Hogwarts has seen in many years, I
award Gryffindor House thirty points."
