Hey hey hey I'm alive. Check out the pic after it fits with this story. Another fun Jally one after a while hehe. Happy pride month :D
~Johnny sprinted happily along the wild fields full of animals and welcoming life. He did not know this strange place but he knew one thing. He was free in his own world.
A grin spread across his face, suddenly clear from bruises and cuts. He didn't stop running. He didn't want to. He laughed and whooped in his bright freedom.
But as Johnny ran, he found that he wasn't moving anymore. No matter how he tried, he couldn't move a single inch. Grey clouds waved through the blue sky. Wind blew across fields. It grew stronger. And stronger. The wind was pulling Johnny back.
Puzzled and afraid, he turns around. A gasp escaped from his mouth when he saw the horrors behind him. It was his mother and father walking towards him. They held broken bottles and belts gripped in their hands. Their eyes were not normal, but glowing red of rage.
Out of panic, Johnny ran faster. He still couldn't move forward. The wind pushed him closer and closer to them.
"No, please!" Johnny whimpered. He didn't stop running for his life, even though nothing seemed to work. Tears flowed from his eyes as he fearfully looked back and saw them closer to him. He reached out towards the endless field that seemed to fade away into darkness.
He felt his parents' hands grip onto him. Johnny let out a terrified scream as he was violently pulled back by their evil hands.
"No!" Johnny squirmed in their tight grips. The light was fading. He finally broke free from them but then he felt a grip harsher than theirs.
Shuddering and eyes as wide as golf balls, he turned around slowly. It was Bob looking down at Johnny with a sinister grin. In his hand was his rings covered in blood.
Johnny shouted with a sob and this time, he couldn't break free. He was drenched in blood now, dragged by Bob into an endless, dark abyss."Johnny! Johnny! Wake up, man!"
Johnny snapped open his eyes, gasping in a cold sweat. Tears were still there. Johnny looked up at Dally who laid next to him with his hand gripping Johnny's shirt.
Since Johnny didn't want to stay at his place, the weather was really cold, and the Curtis brothers were out, Dally offered Johnny to stay at his place for the night.
Dally's hair was standing out of place and his were worried yet sleepy.
"You was screaming in your sleep, man." Dally explained, "Then you started crying, crying. Johnny, you never cry in front of us, or me. And then you was screaming louder. What happened?"
Johnny was relieved that it was only a dream, but the beings in his dream were real and he was truly afraid. More tears flowed from his eyes and Johnny burst into a soft sob.
Dally cussed under his breath out of panic. While Johnny covered his face out of embarrassment, Dallas took off Johnny's jacket and went downstairs. He came back momentarily with a glass of water and a wet towel for Johnny.
"Don't want you drowning dehydrated in your sweat." Dally said in a serious tone, "Have some water."
Dally carefully handed Johnny the glass and Johnny took sips. Then gulps. He finished the glass and Dally placed it to the side.
Johnny still covered his face from Dally.
"Johnny." Dallas said, noticing Johnny hiding from him, "No need to hide from me. Now hold still, man."
Johnny slowly dropped his hands away and Dally gently pushed his face towards him. With the towel, he cleaned the sweat off Johnny's face. He made sure to go around his leftover scars from the time he was jumped.
Johnny sniffled and shook uncontrollably as Dally did so. Dallas looked into Johnny's bloodshot eyes and studied his face.
"Nightmare?" He asked in a gravely yet soft tone. Johnny nodded and ran his fingers through his own hair.
"I'm so scared." He admitted quietly, his voice shaking, "I was free and then my folks and the Soc pulled me away-,"
"Don't say anymore." Dallas interrupted him, "You ain't gonna be afraid anymore, at least, not right now. Look, I ain't good with words but," Dallas put his hand on Johnny's shoulder and squeezed it a little, "You're here with me. And I'll always be with you. Even through every nightmare, you can come to me."
Johnny looked away suddenly, making Dallas' worry grow. But then Johnny hugged him tightly, almost stunning Dally.
Blushing and awkward, Dallas patted Johnny's back.
"Let's go back to bed now." Dallas suggested.
They both huddled together under the blanket, Dallas made sure Johnny was comfortable. Even though Johnny was into that, he felt warmth when Dallas did it.
"Hey, Dal?" Johnny whispered.
"Humph?" Dallas groaned back.
"Uh, it's nothing."
"Okay, go to sleep, man."
Johnny wanted to tell him that he was grateful, but Dallas was too sleepy to take it in so he thought he could save it for tomorrow.
He finally closed his eyes and snuggled into the pillow. He was surprised to feel that Dallas' arms started to wrap around him, holding him close. Johnny smiled and hugged Dallas back.
He fell asleep safe.He was back in his dream. The beautiful fields were back. No monsters or darkness. He ran faster than ever. And standing in the field waiting for him was Dallas.
