"Baaaaaaaabyyyyyyyy!" Steve called out from the couch, dragging his words.
He was sitting on the couch, curled up into a ball with a big blanket wrapping everything but his face.
"Yes?" You asked from the kitchen.
"Come snuggle, I'm cold." He begged.
You kind of liked that he was a softie only when he was with you.
"Alright." You smiled.
"I thought today wasn't going to be that cold." He said.
"Steve,  we're halfway through December, of course it would be cold." You climbed into the blanket with him.
"But it wasn't that cold yesterday." He pouted, "So I thought it wasn't today, and then it snowed."
"Aw, poor baby." You pouted as you ran your fingers through his hair.
Steve rolled his eyes but gave you a toothy grin.
You both cuddled and you didn't know why, but his coldness was rubbing onto you too. And you guys were huddled together in a blanket.
You thought of other ways to keep you guys warm, but there were no heaters and the shower was cold.
Steve's stomach growled and you both looked at each other.
"Hey, I have an idea." You said with a smile, "Let's make hot chocolate!"
Steve licked his lips and his face lit up.
"Sounds great!" He agreed.
You got up and rolled up your sleeves, you knew a really great hot chocolate recipe from scratch.
Steve lounged back on the couch.
"Gimme a large," He thought, "Lots of chocolate, baby marshmallows, and a mountain of whipped cream."
You glared at him and smirked.
"Oh, I guess I'm helping you again." Steve chuckled as he got up, "But this ain't gonna be a chocolate fight like last time with the chocolate cake, I'm beat."
You laughed and started getting out the mugs.
Steve went into the pantry and got hot cocoa mix.
"No no no." You shook your head.
"What?" He asked, "But this is the mix to make it."
"We're gonna make everything from scratch." You grabbed the jar out of his hands and put it away.
"But that's my favorite." He crossed his arms, "It tastes good and it takes fifteen seconds to make cocoa with that!"
"Trust me, I'll make a better one."
"I doubt it." He mumbled.
"You don't have to help me this time." You said, "Just watch and see my way and then you'll regret that statement."
Steve cocked an eyebrow but he smiled. He loved it when you were sassy.
You got out cocoa powder, creamer powder and cinnamon. You started mixing them together in both mugs when Steve's face contorted.
"That's it?!" He gagged, "Then you'll add hot water and that shiet will be bitter and gross!"
"I know." You rolled your eyes, "It ain't done yet so shut your mouth and watch."
"Sassy pants." He chuckled as he hugged you from behind.
After mixing, you wiggled out of Steve's embrace and got out a bottle of Agave (basically syrup).
He watched you curiously as you eye balled the Agave in the mugs and mixed again.
"Steve, can you get me the milk, heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla?" You asked.
"Yes I get to help!" He jumped.
He came back carrying all the ingredients in his arms to show off.
"I have a special job for you." You said to Steve.
"What is it my love?" He said in an elegant voice.
"You're a strong man." You held onto his arm, feeling his muscles.
"True, all true." Steve agreed.
"I need you to mix the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until stiff peaks." You said.
"What does that mean?" He tilted his head.
"Just keep mixing, I'll tell you when it's done."
"But what does it make?"
"Whipped cream."
"Ohhhhhhhh, wow."
While he went to mixing, you poured hot water and milk into the mugs and mixed. You taste tested it and it was perfect.
Steve had been mixing for minutes straight but he didn't stop.
You peeked over his shoulder to check.
"Hey, that looks good Steve!" You said.
He stopped and flexed his muscles.
"Couldn't do it without these bad boys." He grinned.
"Alright, we get it." You laughed.
You dipped your finger into the bowl, then put it on Steve's nose.
"I thought we said no food fight this time!" He wiped the cream off his nose.
"We?" You playfully laughed, "You said that. I didn't agree to it, remember?"
"You're lucky I'm beat." Steve eyed you, "Or else I would've dumped that all over you."
"Okay." You sighed.
"Do we put this on top now?" He asked eagerly.
You nodded and got out the spoons. You neatly put the whipped cream on top while Steve slapped as many as he could on his.
"Is it done yet?" He whined like a kid.
"No."
"What?"
"You forgot about the marshmallows!"
"Oh yeah!"
You guys put marshmallows on top and dusted some cinnamon and cocoa powder to finish.
"Yeah!" You both cheered.
You and Steve got your mugs and shuffled back onto the couch.
"Try it." You watched Steve.
He took a big slurp from the mug and smacked his whipped cream covered lips.
"I regret my statement." He confessed.
"I knew it!" You did a little dance, "Point for me!"
By then, Steve had already chugged his hot chocolate and let out a satisfied sigh. He then looked at your full mug and licked his lips again.
"Here." You giggled.
"Yes!" He happily took it from your hands.
You were tired from all that preparing that you snuggled into Steve's chest and fell asleep.
Steve noticed and kissed your forehead. He got up and washed the mugs in the sink. He then dried it and put it back. He cleaned up the counter and neatly put the ingredients back.
He walked back and carried you bridal style in his arms to the bedroom as you still slept.
It was no longer cold, but warm as you two snuggled together in love.
