Just some imagines and head cannons about the beloved greasers from S.E. Hinton's novel and the popular 80's movie, The Outsiders.

-every year, the gang likes to hang out on the streets and watch fireworks for the Fourth of July -Darry rolled up his sleeves-wait no, he be wearing a tank top (with an American flag) cus it's hot and he wants to show off his muscles -anyways, he'll be on that grill making burgers and hotdogs -all the while having fun and drinking for once because he finally gets a break -Steve and Soda have firecrackers and spark things that pop idk -but they're chasing each other and throwing them at each other's feet in a battle to the death -they're screaming louder than the fireworks -Soda is also playfully throwing them at Pony and Darry to tease them into playing -Steve doesn't like that cus he just flat out thinks Pony is a fetus and Darry is Zeus -Two-Bit went all out with his outfit -He wore a muscle t with a Mickey silhouette the color of the american flag -he's wearing basketball shorts of course with the American colors -he's wearing a beer hat like this

-he has the American flag as a cape and is running around -Two: "USA! USA! USA! USA!" -he got wasted -Pony on the other hand didn't dress patriotically -he thought that supporting a conflicted country through loud celebration was a little wack -but he really just didn't want to -Pony just likes to sit and watch the fireworks -of course he liked playing with Soda but mostly he just wanted to sit and enjoy the night sky -he even thought about painting the bright explosions -hey -heads up -if you read these canons u know what's up -it is time -for another jally thang ',;) -Dally is lounging on the porch with a beer and cigarette when he sees Johnny smoking heavily and covering his ears while curled up in the corner -his eyes were tightly shut too -Dally walks over -"Johnny, you alright man?" -Johnny: "Huh? Yeah. It's just, the explosions make me think of my old man. Beating me with that belt...I just feel like hiding here in the dark hehe..." -Johnny turns away: "Sorry, this is supposed to be fun but I-," -Dally: "It's alright, man. Don't have to say more. Hey, if it helps, look up to the sky. You can cover your ears, but trust me." -Johnny looks up at the sky -his eyes widen into wonder and trance as he watches the finale of fireworks gather miraculously -his hands suddenly fall away and he smiled slightly, still watching with fear melting away -Dally smiles behind him then watches the fireworks by him -Dally feels a sudden breath on his neck -he turns around -It's Two-Bit lookin smug af
