~set in modern day~
You invited everyone in the gang, including your boyfriend Steve, for you birthday at Six Flags.
Everyone started cheering because they never been outside of the state before, well except Dal but he hasn't gone to Six Flags before. They were excited to go to a amusement park.
"LETS GO!!!!" Two cheered as he ran around the house with his hands up in the air.
"YIPPEE SIX FLAGS!!!" Soda cheered also as he joined Two.
"I finally get to go on a roller coaster for the first time!" Johnny said, almost tearing up.
"Not scared?" Dal asked.
Johnny shook his head.
"I've seen videos like Medusa and Wonder Woman." Johnny said, "It looks so much fun!"
"I wanna go too!" Pony said, "I saw the Joker, I wanna try that one!"
"Same." Dal said, "Hey, Johnny, Pony, let's go on them together."
"Yeah!" Johnny and Pony cheered in unison.
"Hm," Darry said, thinking, "Sounds fun, but I don't know if I could fit in those small seats."
You chuckled, Darry was huge and tall.
Steve was by himself, biting on his fingernails.
"What's wrong, babe?" You asked as you walked over to him.
"Oh!" He said, "Nothing, just thinking."
"You excited?"
"Of course! I wanna ride everything! I ain't no chicken."
"I never said you were." You chuckled as you went up on your tippy toes and pecked him on the lips.
A few days passed and you all went to Six Flags. You and Steve wore matching shirts.
Yours said "I'm the birthday girl" and Steve's said "She's my birthday girl". It was cheesy but the shirt actually looked nice.
Everyone wanted to run off and do their own thing but Darry told everyone to stay together.
Steve was behind all of you. His legs were shaking as he looked at all the tall and steep rides. He gulped when he say the people drop down, screaming bloody murder.
You looked behind you and Steve acted cool. You didn't notice a thing.
"Let's go on Medusa first!" Johnny suggested as he pointed at the tallest, steepest ride in the park. Everyone agreed, Steve almost wet himself.
He was just about to bail when you grab his hand, pulling his into the line with everyone else.
Steve started to panic as the line moved closer to the ride. Sweat dripped down and he shook uncontrollably. He couldn't control himself anymore.
Everyone else was too busy to notice Steve, except you.
"Babe?" You asked him with concern as you grabbed his hand, "Are you alright."
"I-I can't d-do this." He stammered out, "I lied, I am a chicken. I just hate rides and heights. I should've stayed home, I'm sorry."
You held his clammy, shaky hands into yours and looked him in the eye.
"Steve," You said in a serious tone, "You are a tough, brave man. I know you got this, it will be over before you know it. Look, I'll hold your hand, I'll do this with you. I love you. If you want to leave, that's fine."
Steve looked at the exit, then looked back at you.
"No." He said in a low voice, "I ain't leaving. Let's do this."
"That's my brave boy." You said.
You guys finally got to the ride, you and Steve were in the front. The others were cheering for the ride to start. Steve didn't say anything.
Once it started to move, Steve's eyes widened and he gripped the handles as hard as he could.
Tears started to form in his.
You wiped them away and held his hand.
"I'm here, babe." You said in a soft voice.
He nodded and smiled, he then closed his eyes as it escalated higher and higher.
The moment of truth, the drop.
Steve opened his eyes and screamed, so did everything else.
Then it dropped. He held onto your hand tighter than ever.
Then in the middle of the ride, he smiled. He let go of your hand and put his hands up in the air. He whooped and screamed, having the time of his life.
Once it was over, he wanted to go again.
You punched his cheek, softly.
"My boy turned into a man." You joked.
Steve ended up riding it more than five times. He went alone because no one else didn't want to ride it more than twice.
Steve had a lot of fun that day, he got over his fear of heights and roller coasters because of you.
