The Best Day Ever/ Soda imagine

It was the three year anniversary you and Soda became boyfriend and girlfriend.
Soda surprised you with breakfast in bed when you woke up. He even made chocolate cake so the house was filled with a sweet, chocolate scent.
He came in with a huge smile and a tray of your favorite breakfast foods while wearing a cute cooking apron.
"Morning Baby Cakes." He said as he walked over and gave you the tray, "Happy anniversary."
"Wow! Thanks, happy anniversary to you too!" You exclaimed, "When did you wake up and prepare this?"
"No, no, no, don't talk about me." He said, pointing at you with two fingers and flashing a grin, "Everything is about you today!"
"But this is our anniversary. I need to make you happy too."
"No need." He said, shaking his head, "I'm already happy. Your gratitude and seeing you happy cus of me is thanks enough."
"You are too pure for this world, Sodapop!"
You giggled as you pinched his cheek a little.
"And I don't think you'll be able to get anything for me because I planned our entire day." Soda chuckled.
You laughed and pulled him in for a kiss.
"I have fun stuff planned today just for you." He whispered into your ear.
You bit your lip out of excitement.
After your breakfast, you got dressed in your favorite outfit.
You noticed the Curtis house was oddly quieter than usual, maybe too quiet. You searched around the house and strangely, no one was around except you and Soda. Everyday, someone would always just be lounging in the living room or rummaging through the kitchen. But no one.
"Hey, Soda?" You called to him.
He came out from the bedroom, putting on his belt.
"Yeah?"
"Where is everyone?"
"Oh, everyone went out. I don't know where though. I do know that Darry is at work."
You glared at him for a bit then sighed.
He escorted you into the car, Darry let him use it for the day.
"So where are you taking me?" You ask.
"You'll see." He grinned as he quickly turned a corner.
After a few minutes of driving, he stopped at a pet shelter.
He helped you out of the car and opened the door for you.
Inside, it was full of cute rescue puppies and dogs. You awed at all of them.
Soda went to talk to a person while you were distracted. They gave him a golden retriever puppy with a red ribbon tied around him. The puppy was wagging it's tail and sniffed Soda's face.
He carried the big puppy in his arms and walked over to you.
"Surprise!" Soda grinned as he handed you the puppy, "It's a boy!"
"Ohhhhh!" You gushed, "Oh my gosh, I've always wanted one! But, how?"
"I came here a few weeks ago actually. You talked about how you wanted a puppy so I came here. I found this little fellow and thought he'd be perfect. So I got him and waited 'till this day to bring him home. You like him?"
"I love him!" You giggled as the puppy licked your cheek, "Thank you so much! This is greatest surprise and one of the best days ever!"
"I wouldn't say that just yet..." He said slyly with a devilish look on his face.
"More?!" You exclaimed.
"Mmhmm!"
He took you into the car again and drove you to the next place.
He brought you to the park. Soda went back to the trunk and opened it, taking out a picnic basket.
He lead you to a nice spot on the grass and set up the picnic for both of you.
He had delicious food and drinks, he even brought your favorite flowers.
Soda was really a pure soul.
"How do you have the money to do all of this?" You asked.
"Secret." He giggled.
You let the puppy roam around, it didn't run off, it just sniffed grass and rolled in it.
After your guy's lunch, you both played with the puppy and laid in the grass together.
You were having so much fun, Soda was glad that you were.
"I'm guessing that's all?" You asked again.
"Yeah." He sighed, "Was it the best day ever?"
"Sure was." You chuckled as you kissed him passionately, "Happy anniversary, babe."
"Happy anniversary." He smiled into your lips.
The puppy became jealous of you both kissing so he went in between and licked both of you.
You and Soda laughed.
Soda drove you back to the Curtis house and parked, but he didn't escort you into the house.
"Wait a minute, Y/N." He said as he started to walk inside, "Just stay here for a moment I need to get something. I'll be right back."
You nodded and waiting, petting the sleeping puppy as you stared at the sky.
You heard footsteps coming so you turned and saw that it was Ponyboy.
"Hey, Ponyboy." You said.
"Hi, Y/N. Soda told me to fetch ya."
"Why?"
"I don't know but he also told me that you have to put on this."
He held a blindfold in his hand. You thought Soda was done with surprises.
You didn't argue and put the blindfold on.
Pony carried the puppy and guided you.
You couldn't see anything but you knew that you weren't going inside the house.
All of a sudden, Pony wasn't there anymore. You called his name and he didn't answer.
You sighed impatiently still with the blindfold on, thinking this is a prank.
"This isn't funny." You called out.
"You can take it off now!" Pony called back.
You took it off and saw the whole gang surrounding you, even people from Tim's gang came.
You were standing outside, behind the house.
There was food and drinks out on tables. Balloons and decorations were placed nicely. They were all smiling at you.
"Guys..." You mumbled in surprise as you looked around.
Then you looked at the ground. You were in the middle of a heart made up of rose petals and candles were set up on the side.
You were speechless.
You looked around for Soda because he wasn't among the group.
"Y/N..." You heard him say behind you.
You spun around slowly.
"Soda..." You said, tears starting to form in your eyes.
He wore a nice outfit, a different one from before.
He held your hands into his.
When he looked at your face, you noticed his eyes have dilated.
Someone started playing a guitar.
He smiled brightly.
"Y/N...I've loved you everyday ever since we were together. My love for you never died, it grew more each day. Not a minute goes by that I don't think about you. I thought that Sandy was the perfect girl. I thought I found true love with her. Turns out, I never knew what true love really was until I met you."
Everyone started to awe and clap for you and Soda.
Tears started rolling down your face.
Soda continued his speech.
"I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I want to make you the happiest girl in the world, I want to have children with you, I want to grow old with you. I want to be with you forever. So, Y/N..."
He got down on one knee and pulled out a small box out of his pocket. He flipped it only and it revealed a beautiful ring.
You whimpered a bit as you covered your mouth, more tears streaming down your face.
"Will you marry me, Y/N?" Soda asked.
"Yes!" You exclaimed while sobbing.
Everyone started cheering loudly.
Soda put the ring on you and pulled you in for a sweet kiss.
The whole gang was crying, Dal was trying to hold it all in.
"Let's party!!!" Soda cheered.
Everyone cheered back and started the party.
"How did you do all this?" You asked, laughing.
"While you were sleeping, I sent the gang out to get the party stuff for the proposal." Soda explained, "When we were out, it gave them time to set up the party, was this the best day ever?"
"The best ever." You both kissed again and hugged each other.
"I love you, Y/N." Soda whispered.
"I love you too, Sodapop." You whispered back.
You both went to go celebrate with everyone. The girls crowded around you, congratulating you and crying still. The guys crowded around Soda and congratulated him too.
You all partied until morning. It truly was the best day ever.
