Play the video, it enhances it pls pls pls
You inched closer to the small television, your eyes captivated by the romantic scene being played.
The couple were dancing under the moonlight, ignoring all of their surroundings and only focusing on each other. Classical music was being played in the background, enhancing the mood.
The scene just looked so magical.
You've always loved watching romantic scenes in a movie. But, you've never actually experienced love yet. Not even a kiss or a dance. You've only dreamed about it and watched it in movies. You wondered if love was truly sweet as honey like how people described it to be. All your life, you've been caught up in work and school so you never had the time for love.
You were sitting on the couch next to your best friend, Darry. It was just you and him, his brothers were outside with some pals.
You've met Darry back in middle school and you have been best friends with him ever since. Even his two younger brothers treat you like an older sister.
Darry glanced at you as your eyes glued to the screen.
He saw that you were captivated by the slow dancing.
He knew you never danced or done anything romantic before.
Darry had an idea. He turned off the T.V.
You were switched back to reality.
"Hey," You groaned, "Why did you turn it off? It was a good scene."
Darry stood up and walked to the record. He started playing Earth Angel by The Penguins. The slow music filled the entire house.
Earth angel, earth angel. Will you be mine...
It slowly played in the background. You were confused, what was he doing?
Darry walked back to you and reached out his hand to you. A smirk grew across his face.
Your eyes widened when you suddenly realized what he was doing.
"Oh no, no way," You nervously said, shaking your hands, "I-I don't dance. I don't even know the first thing about dancing, Darry."
Darry just smiled at you, making your heart flutter.
"I know, so I'll teach you." He said, softly.
You were hesitant at first, but then you finally took his hand. He pulled you off the couch and held both your hands into his. His hands were huge compared to yours.
You were extremely nervous, you didn't know what to do.
Darry slowly guided you. He put your left arm on his shoulder. He rested his arm on your waist. You slightly flinched when he touched you. His other arm held yours.
He pulled you in a little closer and your eyes locked.
He smiled and began to step in rhythm. You kept looking at your feet in frustration, not knowing what to do.
Darry slightly chuckled at you fumbling.
"Make a box with your feet like this." He showed.
You nodded and followed. You were confused at first but then you finally got the hang of it.
"There you go!" Darry said to you.
You chuckled and blushed, slightly.
You kept looking at your feet.
You felt Darry use two fingers to softly lift your chin up to his eyes.
"Always make eye contact." He said.
You nodded, staring into his eyes.
Now you know what it feels to dance. You started to build a little more confidence as you relaxed.
Darry took notice in you and put his arm up, signaling to twirl you around.
You did ever so gracefully. You were having so much fun, you felt like you were floating.
You guys started to move around the room, the music playing in the background.
It was just like the movies. The couple would dance and ignore their surroundings, only focusing on each other. It was even more magical doing it instead of looking at a screen.
"For a woman who never danced before in her life," Darry said, "You are surprisingly good."
You chuckled and smirked.
"I never knew you could dance, Dare," You said, "You look so tough and big. You don't look the type to dance."
Darry chuckled at you.
"Well, you never asked."
You both continued to dance gracefully like angels. You never even noticed that the song was already almost over.
You both started to slow down, only staying in one place now.
You looked up at him and he looked down at you. Both of your eyes locked again, there was a sudden spark in both of your eyes. But you didn't know how to describe it.
You both stopped dancing, still staring into each other's eyes and holding close.
You started to feel something for him, was it... love? Did he feel it too?
You didn't see him as a friend anymore, but something even greater.
Both of you leaned closer, your eyes fluttering shut.
Before you knew it, your lips were pressed against his.
He kissed you softly, holding onto your waist.
You kissed back as you wrapped your arms around his wide shoulders.
So this is love, You thought, Finally...it really does taste sweet like honey.
The world seemed to melt away and it felt like only you two existed.
You both pulled away, slowly.
"Y/N." He said your name in a soft voice.
"Yes?" You replied.
"I just wanted to say, that I love you and would you like to be my girl?" He asked.
You nodded, a smiled growing across your face. You buried your face into his chest as he held you close to him. You both started to slowly sway to the music in the background.
You closed your eyes, it felt like a dream that you never wanted to wake up from.
You heard the door swing open.
"Darry!" It was Sodapop, "We're back!"
The whole gang came and saw you guys together.
Soda gasped and cupped his face, realizing everything.
"Y'all are together?" He asked, happily.
You both nodded.
The gang started to cheer for the both of you, clapping and whooping.
Darry lifted your chin up and pulled you in for another kiss, making the gang cheer even louder.
Hahahahaahahaha dirty dancing
