Two walked into the living room from the kitchen to join everyone.
But, all of you glared at him. It took a few minutes to realize that no one was saying a word, only staring at him.
"What?" He asked, after taking a bite of chocolate cake.
"Don't you do it again this year." Steve growled.
All of you nodded.
"Do what?" He asked dumbfounded.
"Don't give us that crap Two." Dallas rolled his eyes.
"No I seriously don't know what y'all are mad about." He shrugged.
"Ugh!" Pony groaned, slamming his book, "Every year near Christmas you pull pranks on everyone! It ain't funny no more."
"Could agree more." Darry narrowed his eyes.
"The first time was funny." Soda said, "But it just got annoying."
"Oh yeah, hehe." Two chuckled.
"Why do you even do it in December?" Steve asked, "Why not April Fools?"
"Because I have to choose a month where people are more vulnerable." Two explained, "People are hella vulnerable in December and all they care about is Christmas time. They don't think very much about pranks, so why not? And the best thing is that all my pranks are Christmas themed! Christmas is the best!"
"Not for us anymore, and never even pick a single day." Y/N added.
"That's the point." Two grinned, "If I pick a day, people will know when I'll prank 'em. If I do it randomly, no one will know."
"Well, December's almost over so we better keep watch." Pony said.
"Can we just enjoy the happiest time of the year and not have eggnog in all my shoes like last year?" Darry glared.
"Hm, I dunno." Two tapped his chin.
"Babe, please." Y/N said to him, "I just wanna have a happy Christmas and not have it ruined."
"Yeah, I agreed with Y/N." Steve crossed his arms, "And if you don't stop, your pranks will backfire."
Everyone nodded.
"Alright, alright." Two sighed, "I'll not do it this year, I even ran out of pranks."
Everyone nervously looked at Two.
"Well, Ima head out." Dallas got off the couch, "Got a fight with Shepherd tonight and it's best if I stay away from Two for the rest of the month."
Everyone agreed, finding excuses to leave. Y/N kissed Two goodbye and went back home to finish chores.
Two was left all alone, but that was good for him.
Johnny was last to leave out the door.
Perfect. Two thought, rubbing his hands together.
"Ey Johnny!" Two ran to him, "Johnnycake! My main man! You son of a gun!"
Johnny stopped and turned around.
"Yeah?" Johnny asked.
"I need you to do me a favor." Two said.
"I dunno, Two-Bit." Johnny looked at the ground and kicked a pebble, "I would like to help, but like you said, you prank us every December. I can't trust you, sorry."
"Ouch." Two put his hand on his chest, "But I'm legit serious right now. I need you to test something for me, it's a surprise. But promise you don't tell anyone."
Johnny shifted and scratched the back of his head. He didn't trust Two, but he wanted to help. He remembered the times Two pranked him, they weren't bad. At least, not for him.
Well, what's the worst that could happen? Johnny thought.
He sighed and nodded.
"Great!" Two grinned, "It's at my place, let's go!"
They arrived shortly at Two's house and in his room.
"What's the surprise?" Johnny asked, looking around.
"Ooh!" Two jumped excitedly, "It's the best! Wait, hang on."
He spun behind him and grabbed an open box of Christmas sugar cookies.
"Want one? They're hella good." Two offered, "And you don't have to stand, make yourself at home!"
"O-Okay, sure." Johnny stuttered.
He took the cookie and sat down on the edge of Two's bed. He took a bite and chewed.
"It's good." Johnny said, popping the rest of the cookie in his mouth, "Continue?"
"Gladly." Two's grin stretched wider, "So, this year I wanted to do something different. Then I thought, why not prank everyone at once? Killing all 'em birds with one stone. But how would I do that? Simple. Johnny, go look at the mirror and open your mouth."
Johnny tilted his head and his eyebrows shifted. He stood up and walked to a small mirror. When he opened his mouth, it surprised him when he realized his entire mouth was green. Lips, tongue, teeth, everything.
"What did you do?" Johnny asked while he examined his face.
"Not me, but these." Two held a cookie between his fingers, "Haha! You look amazing! This is the big prank. I got them custom made by a friend who works at some bakery. They look like normal Christmas sugar cookies. But when you eat them, they turn your mouth green or red! Christmas colors hah! Guess you got green, Johnny. Thanks for testing them out."
"You'll give these to everyone?" Johnny asked.
"Yup!" Two said proudly, "Then they'll all have colored mouths!"
"For how long?"
"Hm, give or take a day, maybe a little less. Ooh ooh and tomorrow, Darry, Steve, and Soda have work! Everyone in the entire neighborhood would see their mouths!"
"Hm, I dunno Two." Johnny scratched his arm, "It doesn't seem all that funny. And they won't like it. They already hate the pranks you do, even me a little."
"It is funny! And I know they won't like it so that's why I'll watch from a distance. So, Johnny my boy, I want you to give these to them tomorrow morning. They will trust you instead of me. It's perfect!"
"Mmmm." Johnny thought.
"Come on, it's pretty harmless compared to the ones I did before. All they'll get is humiliation."
Johnny thought some more and have a little nod.
"That's the Christmas spirit!" Two playfully slapped Johnny's back, "Don't tell a single soul. Meet me back here early in the morning before they wake up. Then we'll head over there and you give them the cookies."
Two got three boxes and piled them into Johnny's arms.
"Now rest up." Two lightly pushed Johnny towards the door, "We have a big day tomorrow."
Johnny walked out the door and sighed, looking at the boxes in his hands.
"I have a bad feeling about this." He mumbled to himself.

~Morning~

Two sat in front of the door, patiently waiting for Johnny to arrive. He checked the time and groaned. It was past the time the gang would wake up. They probably had just left to go to work.
Two heard a knock and the door and his face brightened.
"Johnny!" Two grinned as he opened the door.
"Hey, Two-Bit." Johnny gave a tired smile.
"Hey, your mouth is still a bit green." Two giggled, "At least we know it still works. Oh! Quick we have to go so you can give the cookies!"
"Wait!" Johnny interrupted, "I already did."
"Wait what?!" Two froze, "You did it without me?! Why?!"
"I was going to do it with you, but I don't feel good and the Curtis house was close." Johnny put his hand on his stomach, "So I dropped it off and Ponyboy picked it up, he saw me and didn't think it was a prank. I'm sorry, I ruined everything."
Two examined Johnny's face and his eyes were sickly.
"Aw, it's alright Johnnycake." Two put his arm around Johnny, "Wait, did they eat it? Did you get their reactions?"
"I saw them eat them, they ate a lot." Johnny shook his head, "But I couldn't stay to get their reactions, I felt too sick to-,"
He was cut off by a cough erupting from inside him. His cough escalated into violent, choking coughs. Johnny started to collapse to the ground.
"Woah! Woah!" Two exclaimed with worry and panic, "Uh, easy Johnny!"
He caught Johnny before he hit the ground. Two rushed into his room and put him on the bed.
Johnny's cough seemed to grow worse, scaring Two.
"Um," Two looked around, "I-I'll get you some water."
Two ran into the kitchen and quickly poured a glass of tap water and ran back, spilling most of the water.
He dropped it when he watched in horror as Johnny started throwing up on the floor. It was all green.
"Agh! What's happening?!" Two panicked.
Johnny finally stopped and fell back on the bed, gasping and coughing a little. He looked too weak to move.
"I..." Johnny said weakly, "I think, It's the cookies."
"The cookies?!" Two shook his head, "I-It can't be, they're harmless! I think..."
He looked at the green vomit, resembling the color of his mouth when he ate the cookie.
"Two, I..." Johnny said quietly, "I don't feel good."
Johnny's eyes started to close and Two bolted to him.
"No no!" He shouted, "Stay with me!"
Johnny became limp, but luckily, he still had a little bit of breath left.
Two didn't know what to do. Then his eyes widened. The gang. They didn't eat one, they ate many as Johnny stated.
He immediately picked up Johnny and sprinted out the door. He reached the Curtis house in a matter of seconds, panting.
He kicked the door opened and his jaw dropped.
Everyone was throwing up and stumbling to the ground. All three boxes of the cookies were empty.
"What's happening to us-?" Soda strained as he collapsed onto his back and coughed.
"Darry, I can't move." Pony whimpered as he lay flat on the ground.
"Two..." Y/N said in a raspy voice, reaching out to him.
"No, Baby-," Two shook his head in shock.
Johnny exhaled, but didn't breath in. One by one, everyone became limp.
"This is all my fault!" Two burst into tears and shaking, "It's the cookies! I wish I'd never thought of this stupid prank! I'm sorry!"
Two fell to his knees, a sobbing mess.
"Aw, it's alright." Johnny chuckled, patting Two's head.
Two gasp and looked at Johnny with eyes as wide as golf balls.
Everyone got up off the ground, perfectly fine.
They all laughed and smiled.
"B-But what?" Two stuttered, "I thought y'all was dead."
"Nope." Johnny smiled, "Gotcha."
"But how?" Two asked.
"I told everyone yesterday after I left." Johnny explained.
"Hey, you betrayed me." Two crossed his arms.
"I told everyone about the prank." Johnny continued, "We all decided to get you back. So we set up our scenario and prepared to act like we were sick from the cookies. And the puke isn't puke, Darry made a mixture. I was hiding a bottle of it in my jacket and when you left, I put it in my mouth. So, surprise."
"We got you good!" Steve pulled Two off the ground, "You were bawling like a little baby."
"He still is." Soda laughed.
Two wiped away the last of his tears and laughed too, turning red a bit.
"I really thought y'all died 'cus of me." He confessed, "Y'all are good actors. That was good. Fooled me silly. Yeah, I think I learned my lesson. I'll stop."
"Merry Christmas Fools?" Pony chuckled.
Everyone laughed and chanted Merry Christmas Fools.
Two stopped his annual Christmas pranks once and for all.
