Greenland and Antarctica were hanging out in Antarctica's kitchen attempting to bake together.
"Ok... um.... two tablespoons of vanilla? Wait no... teaspoons- um.... which is a teaspoon?" Antarctica said. Greenland chuckled and tried his best to read the labels.
"Umm... this one I think?" Greenland said. Antarctica smiled and picked up the teaspoon, adding the vanilla into the cookie batter.
"The kids are gonna love this," Antarctica said. Greenland smiled.
"It's funny.... it's almost like we're a married couple," Greenland said, immediately regretting it. Antarctica just smiled and wrapped his arm around Greenland.
"We do make a great couple," Antarctica said. Greenland smiled shyly and looked back down at the batter.
"Y-yeah... well, back to baking!" Greenland said nervously. Antarctica smiled and sighed, glancing over at the small box hidden in the decorative fruit basket.
"Yeah...," Antarctica said.
Meanwhile, Aztec and Spain were having a picnic in the park.
"It was so nice of you to invite me... it.... it has really been ages Huh?" Spain said.
"Since we've hung out like this? Yeah...," Aztec said. The two were quiet for a moment.
"Aztec... things have changed haven't they?" Spain said.
"I'm assuming you also want everything to return to how it was," Aztec said.
"I do.... I know it can't... and you're... w-well....... I just wished...... maybe if we hadn't.....," Spain struggled to say.
".....had Mexico?" Aztec finished for Spain. Spain sighed.
"I feel horrible even thinking about it.... my father was sure to find out either way.....," Spain said. Aztec sighed.
"I understand... but, it happened. Now, there's nothing we can do but move forward..... but, even though the memories were sweet...... I'd take now over any time in history. I may not be alive, but I can still be with you. With our son. And our son is happy, and surrounded by people he loves. Who love him. Isn't that everything we've dreamed of?" Aztec asked. Spain sighed.
"I know I just..... I wish you were still here....," Spain said. Aztec held Spain close.
"I am... and I'll never leave. I promise," Aztec said.
Meanwhile, Mexico and America were play fighting by a pond like a couple of children.
"Agh! Bested again!" America exclaimed, Mexico pinning him down.
"Loser," Mexico said. America smiled and wrapped his arms around Mexico.
"You're so mean to me," America whined jokingly. The two sat up and sat next to each other next to the pond. Mexico leaned up against America, who wrapped his arm around him.
"Imagine if past us saw us now," Mexico said.
"Heh, they wouldn't believe it," America said.
"Mmmmm maybe child us would. Heck, even teenage us," Mexico said. America nodded.
"Hey, weird question, is there some sort of... sentimental reason you wanted me to grow out my hair?" America asked.
"You mean... did I want you to grow out your hair so you'd look like how you did when we were young?" Mexico asked.
"Yeah...," America said. Mexico hummed in thought.
"I... don't know. I do like the long hair though..... maybe," Mexico said. The two were silent for a while longer. "Ame... you love me, right?" Mexico asked.
"Of course I do," America said.
"Ok... I'm sorry if I ask that too much... it's just... I dunno...it's complicated," Mexico said.
"What do you mean?" America asked.
"Well.... I didn't actually know if I could find someone after breaking up with my ex.... he was kinda the 'nobody will ever love you other than me' type," Mexico said.
"Ugh... I f*ckin hate that guy so much.... Mex, you know so many people love you-,"
"I do.... sometimes I just can't help but wonder...," Mexico said. America kissed Mexico on the head.
"Well, I have no trouble reminding you how loved you are if you ever forget," America said. Mexico smiled.
"Thank you, I love you too," Mexico said.
