(2022 Parker: Btw, OG readers might notice that I swapped out Ukraine with Netherlands in these past few chapters, so we can have ourselves a BroTP rather than an OTP)
The trio and their buds were hanging out on their living room couch.
"Hey, we've been here for two days now...... do you think we're safe?" Canada asked.
"It's worth a shot I guess?" Netherlands said. The four of them cautiously walked outside and to the park, but lo and behold, they were fine.
"Wow... it's really that easy to fall out of public favor?" Canada said.
"Yeah, just look at Twitter," Mexico said.
"Well.... you guys wanna go to the mall to celebrate?" Netherlands asked.
"Well, me and Mex we're gonna hang out at the park a little bit, but you two can go ahead. Just call us if something bad happens again," America said. The two nodded and headed to the mall together. Canada was pleasantly surprised seeing that nobody seemed to be paying too much attention to him.
"You're having fun," Netherlands stated rather than asked.
"I am! How'd you know?" Canada exclaimed. Netherlands smiled.
"You're walking around with a big smile! You look like a kid in a toy shop," Netherlands said.
"Oh...," Canada said, processing if this was a compliment or insult.
"In a good way! It's nice to see you happy," Netherlands said. Canada smiled.
"It's nice to be happy! Oh! They have German pretzels! Let's go!" Canada exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Mexico and America were just hanging out at the park, when suddenly America was hit in the head with a baseball.
"Ow...," America said.
"Sorry Ame! I'm still a bit bad at catching... we haven't played in a while," Texas exclaimed, running up to them with a baseball mit on his hand.
"Baseball?! I thought we took an oath to never play it again?!" America exclaimed.
"Yeah, but we read between the lines," Texas said.
"What?! No! No baseball!" America exclaimed.
"What's wrong with baseball?" Mexico asked.
"We lost to a team of cities... not only that, I failed to catch a ball because I got distracted... I looked like a damn moron," America said.
"Oh... well, you forced me to play football again, sooooo you gotta play baseball," Mexico said.
"But-,"
"C'mon! It'll be fun!" Texas exclaimed. America sighed.
"Fine.... but I'm not happy about it," America said. "Now let me go home and get my old stuff," America said.
Meanwhile, Canada and Netherlands were hanging out at the arcade, Canada winning a bunch of prizes. The both of them walked out holding a teddy bear each and a pocket full of candy.
"Where to next?" Netherlands asked.
"Mmmmm bubble tea?" Canada asked. Netherlands shrugged.
"Sure," Netherlands said. While walking, the two talked about whatever came to their minds.
"I think Ame and Mex Bro-ship us now," Canada said. Netherlands nodded.
"Hm, interesting... oh! By the way, who was that girl who kidnapped Ukraine and pretended to be her? I heard about that in passing, and it was pretty concerning," Netherlands asked.
"Oh, my ex Eli.... she's strange, I don't really know what else to say. She's probably stalking me right now, but as long as she doesn't kill anyone I'm ok," Canada said.
"Are you sure you shouldn't call the police?" Netherlands asked. Canada shrugged.
"What would they do? Arrest her? I'm pretty sure she's a teleporter too," Canada said.
"Huh...," Netherlands said.
Meanwhile, at the local baseball park, America hit a home run. He sprinted as fast as he could, but like a man who tripped over his own feet, America tripped over his own feet. Everyone was yelling upset things, as the opposing team laughed. A few states helped America off the floor, all of them disappointed.
"AGH!! You kissed victory on the lips!! But it was your cousin!!" California exclaimed. America sighed.
"I let everyone down again, just like I knew I would.... do you have any clue what this means?" America asked.
"What?" Texas asked.
"I WON THE BET! MEX IS TAKIN US TO DINNER NOW BOIISSS!" America exclaimed.
"Hell yeah! Free food!!!" The team exclaimed.
Meanwhile, Canada and Netherlands were hanging out in the NATs backyard.
"Today was a nice day.... which sucks because it means everything is gonna go to sh*t soon," Canada said.
"Well isn't that a positive attitude," Netherlands said sarcastically. Canada sighed.
"I dunno... every time everything calms down something crazy happens and mixes everything up again... sometimes I wish everything was always chill. I think trouble just gravitates towards us three," Canada said.
"Well... maybe a change of scenery would help? How about you stay at my place for a bit?" Netherlands asked.
"You'd be ok with that?" Canada asked.
"Sure! No craziness, it'll just be chill," Netherlands said.
"Thanks Neth!" Canada exclaimed.
Meanwhile, {Name Eliminated} watched from the distance.
{Canada spending the night at someone else's house?
We can't have that....}
