"Hanahaki?" Mexico asked.
"Yep....," Nekomi said.
"But... why?" Mexico asked.
"It's a fictional- or at least it was a fictional disease.... basically, there's a flower growing in your lungs right now because you're a victim of unrequited love," Nekomi said.
"Well sh*t.... is there a cure?" Mexico asked.
"There are two cures: the person you're crushing on falling in love with you, or surgery," Nekomi said.
"Well what are we waiting for?!? Let's get some surgery!" Canada exclaimed.
"Well, there's a few problems! First of all, you're literally probably the only person this has actually happened to, so I doubt there is any surgeon who can help, and also the side effects could be dire! You can lose all memories of the person you loved, or lose the ability to love at all! Heck, maybe even emotions in general! Or worse! Like I said, this only ever happens in fiction- well I mean I guess this is a fiction... whatever! It doesn't matter! Before we even consider surgery we need to get your crush head over heels for you!" Nekomi exclaimed.
"So... who's your crush?" Canada asked. Mexico glanced around awkwardly.
"I-I.... uh... oh I d-dunno....," Mexico said.
"Oh c'mooooooooon," Nekomi cooed encouragingly.
"Why does it matter? If it's unrequited I doubt they'll ever feel the same way! No matter what I try!" Mexico exclaimed.
"Aww don't be like that!" Canada exclaimed.
"What if I just don't do anything about it?" Mexico asked.
"If you don't do anything, the flower will keep growing until it eventually takes over your lungs and renders breathing impossible," Nekomi said.
".... yeah... maybe it'd be best if you just told us your crush," Greenland said. Mexico sighed.
"O-okay.... u-um........ they are-," Mexico started cautiously, before suddenly being cut of by a loud cry. They looked over at Everest to see her curled up on the floor, looking extremely uncomfortable.
"SH*T! PUPPIES! CALL AUSTRALIA!" Mexico shouted.
Soon, everyone was sitting in the living room, happily cradling the new pups. A bunch of people came over, not only North America, but a couple of their siblings who volunteered to adopt a puppy. Chile adopted a light grey puppy and named her 'Pepper', while New Zealand adopted a sweet little white puppy which he named 'Killer' just for irony's sake. Suddenly Quebec and Texas rushed into the house.
"We booked a flight as soon as we heard!" Texas exclaimed. America smiled and gave Texas his new puppy, which he already decided to name 'Annie'. Everyone was just admiring the adorable babies, except for Mexico and America, who were staring at one in confusion.
"This puppy is giving me weird vibes....," Mexico said.
"Does it have something to do with the glowing red eyes, the fact he hasn't moved in a while, and the fact that he appears to be an almost fully developed puppy?" America asked.
"Crazily enough, that is exactly why," Mexico said. Suddenly, the man with the glowing red eyes walked in, which is now named Paul.
"S̸O̸R̸R̸Y̸ I̸M̸ L̸A̸T̸E̸, M̸A̸Y̸ I̸ T̸A̸K̸E̸ T̸H̸I̸S̸ O̸N̸E̸?" Paul asked. America shrugged.
"Uhhh I guess?" America said. Paul nodded, before giving the puppy a dog tag that had the name 'Takeo' written on it. Paul took the puppy and left without a word.
