Prince time motherheckers
Thank you NJ and AA for this idea
Prince America walked around the palace with his brother, Canada. There was a ball to be held later that evening. America was excited, growing bored of the blandness of every day life.
"Sometimes I just wished something incredible happened! Something wild!" America exclaimed.
"Like what? World war three?" Canada joked.
"Oh, there's too much fighting nowadays... perhaps something better...," America said.
"Boys! There you are! You must get ready for tonight!" England exclaimed.
"We are!" America exclaimed. England observed America's messy hair and grass-stained gown.
"Right....," England said, Pushing America along to a dressing room. Once he was dressed, England dictated his outfit.
"Are you sure you want to wear that gown?" England asked.
"Why not?" America asked.
"I'm afraid you may steal the men away from the ladies. You'll make all the maidens jealous!" England complimented, smiling. America laughed.
"Oh well, their loss," America said. They walked into the ballroom, America immediately turning all attention towards him as he walked out onto the ballroom floor. Some women were jealous, some men were questioning their sexuality, some people who weren't attracted to him just admired his confidence and some people didn't really care. Although nobody asked America to dance, he danced the night away himself. However, during the slow dancing, watching everyone he knew hold each other lovingly and dance together made him feel lonely. He knew he could be happy on his own... but he yearned for someone to hold close. Someone to love. It almost made him want to break out into song. America decided to take a break from the party and take a walk outside.
"When will I stop this lonely, emptiness in my heart?" America asked. A butterfly landed on his finger. "Easy for you to say.... I barely meet anyone outside of the palace....," America said. He sighed and started singing to himself about wanting to be free.
The next day, he and his siblings were hanging out when suddenly Northern Ireland somberly walked into the room.
"Hey Northern Ireland, what's wrong?" Canada asked.
"I...I'm afraid your parents they.... they died in a horrible accident," Northern Ireland Said. The siblings were shocked into silence. "America, your coronation is next week-,"
"No! I-I can't be king I... I ... no... how...," America cried.
"America, your kingdom needs you-,"
"No! I don't want to be trapped in this palace anymore! I can't be king! You can't make me!" America exclaimed, before running out of the room. America ran outside and through the kingdom, running into people and tripping over his gown. America stole a cloak and wrapped it around himself to cover his identity. Suddenly, he bumped into someone and fell into their arms. The person immediately pushed them away, but America heard guards yell.
