I stood in front of the door to my dorm room.
"I knock, or I just go in? I don't remember how social interactions work anymore!" I say to myself.
Before I have a chance to make up my mind, the door opens, and I am being tackled to the floor in a hug.
    "Haaa, what in the?!"
"Hi!" The girl who had hugged me said happily.
"Hi. Um, can I get up please?"
"Oh, right. Oops." The girl mutters, apparently just realizing that she had knocked me over.
She quickly stood up and helped me onto my feet. I couldn't really see her in the darkness, but I could tell that she was shorter then me by a good two-three inches.
"You're my roommate new right?" The girl asked excitedly.
"I think so, that is unless I got lost again."
"Then come in, I'll show you your room, and help you get settled in." She says, dragging me into the dorm.
The layout of the dorm was set up almost like a small apartment or hotel room. There was a simple common space right inside the door, this included a living space and kitchenette. On one side there was a hallway that presumably lead to two bedrooms.
"My room is the first door, You can have the second one." The girl told me.
We walked down the hallway into the small room, which I expected to be empty except for maybe a bed. I however was wrong. Upon opening the door, I found a twin bed, desk, and wardrobe. There was even a backpack hanging from a spinny chair by the desk.
"Wait, did you move in while I was in class?" The girl asked.
"Uh, yeah we'll go with that." I say, attempting to hid my confusion.
"Well in that case, we should probably get to bed. I've got a test in the morning."
I nod, exhausted from the exciting day. She closes the door behind her with an small goodnight, leaving me alone in the room.
"Bed!" I mutter happily before faceplanting in the soft warmth of the fuzzy blankets. Before long, I'm out like a light.
