Chapter 15, King.

    I drop into a fighting stance just as arlo yells, "Begin!"
    I run forward, limiting my instincts to insure I don't show too much of my ability. Marco fires one of his beams at me before I can even get halfway to him.
    Dodging narrowly to the side, I change tactics. Freezing the ground around us, causing Marco to fall, I slide towards him. Igniting the air in front of me, I launch flames at the king. He meets the attack with one of his own.
    My fire caused the ice to melt, allowing Marco to get back on his feet. He runs at me, using his lighting like energy beams to boost himself forward. Freezing the water molecules in the air, I create a wall of ice, which Marco then runs into before he can stop himself. The wall shatters, hitting us both with shards of ice.
    Standing up from the ground, I find Marco already on his feet, firing another beam at me.
    Instead of dodging this time, I brace to take the hit with my arms, almost like blocking a punch. I use the time I have to gather all the water molecules I can from the air around me.
Right as the beam hits my arms, I freeze the carbon dioxide around me. The chemical reaction of dry ice mixed with water causing a thick mist. Using this lack of visibility to my advantage, I run towards Marco.
    By the time the mist clears I'm already in front of him, kicking him with as much strength as I can muster.
    He falls to the ground, breathing heavily.
    "That's enough, we forfeit this match." The other team's healer says.
    "Good job, Hela." Arlo calls to me. "Let Elaine heal you before we head back to school."
    "Yeah." I say simply as I help the king up.
    "That was a great fight. Ever consider switching schools?" Marco jokes as he struggles to stand.
    "Not really." I tell him.
    "Darn. Well, I guess we'll see you around then." Marco says before walking back to his team.
    "Sure." I mutter, walking over the Elaine.
