"Oh, it was UnOrdinary, wasn't it?"
I nod, unable to speak due to how much I was shaking.
"Darn it, Elaine did see it after all." John almost yelled.
"Wait, you knew that Seraphina had the book? You didn't give it to her, did you?"
"Yeah, she seemed interested in why I act the way I do, and UnOrdinary was the only way I knew to explain it." He tells me.
"That book could get her put in readjustment classes, why would you risk putting anyone else through that?" I say, my breathing becoming unsteady.
"She said she wouldn't get caught, I thought she could handle it." He defended.
"You should go check on her, she'll probably be leaving the school tomorrow." I tell John.
"Wait, you do know you were out for the whole night?" He asks.
"No! If that's the case, she's probably already being taken to the readjustment facility." I said, shaking even more now.
"I'll go check on her, you stay here." He said before rushing out the door.
I say on the floor for a moment, surprised at the conversation that had just ended. Then I glance down at my hands, and realize I was still on the ground from my fall.
"I suppose I should probably try to get back on the bed." I mutter. After what was probably far more attempts at standing then it should have taken, I finally manage to get my shaking body into the bed.
The doctor comes back into the room. I expect him to ask me again why I passed out, but he doesn't.
"Keene explained the situation to me, you should get some rest." He said when I asked.
He was right, I was exhausted, but after being passed out for a day I was starving.
Just as if my wishes were being answered, a girl with pink hair pushed her way through the Infirmary door with a grocery bag.
