"This is not gonna be fun." I heard Blyke mutter before dropping back into his fighting stance.
The other teams queen stepped forward.
"Begin!" Arlo yells.
Blyke runs at the strawberry blonde, but before he could reach her she seemed to create an invisible wall, blocking the red haired boy from getting any closer.
Blyke didn't try going around the supposed barrier. In fact he didn't move at all, almost as if he couldn't.
The queen raised the hand that I thought was holding the barrier in place, and instead lifted Blyke.
'I see, she has a telekinesis ability, not a barrier one like Arlo.' I think as the queen drops Blyke from what is probably six feet up. He didn't brace for the impact of hitting the ground, instead launching himself forward using his energy beams while still in midair.
The strawberry blonde queen used her ability to pick herself up. Backing up as she did so in an attempt to dodge Blyke's attack. It didn't work however, since as soon as he landed where the queen once stood, he shot another energy beam toward her.
She was blown backwards by the force of the beam, landing on her back. She barely managed to stager upright before Marco called the match.
"That's enough, our loss. I'm up next." He green haired king yelled to Arlo.
"You could always forfeit." Arlo teased.
"Not a chance!" The king yelled back.
The king and Blyke took their positions on the field, but it wasn't much of a fight.
As soon as Arlo yelled for the match to begin, Blyke fired a large energy beam at Marco. The king doing the same however, instead of a red colored beam of light, the he used a green beam that more closely resembled lava.
The two beams meet, seeming to be held back by one another for just a moment before the green one blasted clean through the other. The beam hit Blyke hard, nearly blowing him back into Arlo and I. Blyke collapsed as soon as the beam dissipated, not even bothering to get back on his feet.
"That is our loss. Elaine, heal Blyke up a bit." Arlo told the Blue haired girl.
She ran over, helped Blyke to his feet, and they slowly walked as far from the field as the red haired boy could manage. His clothes were scorched, and his front was covered in burns. This told me Marco definitely had a fire related ability.
"Your turn, do you think you can handle it?" Arlo asked, turning to me.
"I should be fine." I told the blond.
I walked into the field, standing across from my green haired opponent.
I drop into a fighting stance just as arlo yells, "Begin!"
