"John?! What is he doing here?" I mutter to myself. Why would I have been sent to Wellston if John was also attending.
Class went on, but I barely paid any attention. My gaze stayed a trained on the black haired boy, studying him. His aura seemed different. He wasn't angry or intimidating at all, in fact he looked ridiculous with his hair gelled. The students around him weren't scared either. This was a completely different atmosphere to New Boston.
Finally class ended, and I began packing up my things. Even with John's seemed attitude change, I didn't want to test it. However, before I could get out the door, I was stopped by another student.
"Hey, my name is Blyke, you're Hela right?" Asked a red haired boy.
"Yeah, nice to meet you." I replied.
"Same here. I've got a question for you." With those words, the whole class turned to look at me.
"Well, I've probably got an answer, ask away." I respond cautiously.
"What's you ability?" He asked.
'This question, why does it even matter?' I think to myself.
"You do have one right? You're not a cripple right?" Blyke asks.
I question if there was any way I could get out of this conversation, but I come up empty. "No, I'm only a mid tier though. My ability is called Temperature Manipulation."
"So, you can make a room colder?" He asks, seemingly disappointed.
"I can do that, but there's more to it. I can go so far as catching things on fire or freezing them solid."
"That's really cool!" He exclaimed, and the rest of the class goes back to their own conversation. Though, I knew they were talking about me.
"I really should get going though, my next class is about to start." I say, dodging around the red haired kid, and running out of the room.
I immediately am stopped by two kids claiming that they needed to teach me how the hierarchy works in this school.
"This is going to be a long day," I mutter, dropping into a fighting stance. "Well, let's get this overwith."
