John manages to get a hold of the Doc, but I hardly have the mind to pay attention. It isn't until Arlo calls my name that I realize I had zoned out.
"We should start heading to the school, we probably don't want to keep Doc waiting." He explains.
"Right." I say, stumbling to my feet where I had been slumped on the floor against the window.
"Are you alright? We've all been worrying about Seraphina, but you were attacked too." Elaine asks.
"It's just been a long night, I'm not used to this much excitement. I've been getting a lot more of it recently though." I tell them, another half truth.
"Call Remi when we get to the infirmary, she'll be worried after you didn't come home last night." John tells me, that dumb grin on his face again now that Seraphina is awake.
"Where even is my phone?" I ask, realizing it isn't in my pocket.
"You dropped it when you passed out trying to call Elaine yesterday." John explains, "She put it on the table by the couch in case you wanted it when you woke up."
"It really has been a long night, I completely forgot about that." I sigh, feeling more exhausted than I had in a long time.
Seraphina stumbles to her feet again, still shaky from fear that she wouldn't get her ability back. "Let's go, the sooner we get there, the better."
"If you need to lean on me, just tell me." John tells her as Elaine pulls me close to her so that she can carry some of my weight. I hadn't realized I was shaking too. I nod a thank you to her as we start our slow journey back to the school.
We make it to the infirmary just in time for Doc to yell at us for being late. John practically carries Seraphina inside as the rest of us wait in the hallway.
"You two should go tell the headmaster what happened. I'll call Remi, Doc will probably be done treating Seraphina by the time I'm done." I tell them.
"Are you sure you're okay being left alone out here? I don't think Seraphina would mind you being in there too." Elaine tells me.
"I'll be fine. Get going." I laugh.
I unlock my phone as they make it up the stairs. I quickly find Remi in my favorites list and press call. It doesn't even have the chance to ring once before she answers.
"What happened? Where have you been all night? You can't just stay somewhere without telling me!" She yells.
"Sorry, I got jumped in town yesterday. I ended up having to stay at John's until we could get to the infirmary this morning." I explain.
"You what!? I'll be right there, don't move!" She says before hanging up.
"I won't."
