Arya's POV: 2 months after Virat and Shagun's wedding

Its been 2 months since those hopeless romantics got married, and like every normal newly wedded couple, they too went on vacations and dates....and now...and now they have no F*CKING TIME FOR US! Like anytime we ask them to meet up, they say 'Sorry, we'd love to...but we're busy'....BUSY DOING WHAT.

"Let them spend some quality time with each other." Akash said...which made me very confused.

"Oh stop making that face Arya, you said the last part out loud." Akash said as he looked at me from his desk which was adjacent to the filing cabinet I was standing next to.

"Okay, but we all are a part of the same friend group...I mean it would make more sense if either Shagun or Virat were not our friends from before and hence were not comfortable spending time with us....but WHAT IS THEIR PROBLEM" I exclaimed.

"Chill, I'm pretty sure the day YOU find your special someone, you will understand those two." Akash said with a wink.

"Oh no. I'm never getting married...or getting into a relationship. This 'love' business is NOT for me." I said as walked up to his desk and handed him the file he had been looking for.

"Or so she says." Akash mumbled thinking I would not hear him.

"Oh I am 100% sure I of all people am not gonna be the one to get married....but I do hear wedding bells ringing for you and Muski." I said.

I knew that Akash had a soft spot for Muski...I mean they both had a crush on each other when we were in college, and-

"What do you know?" Akash asked which completely threw me off guard.. what did I know...or more importantly...what did he think I knew?

"Oh I know" I said, even though I didn't have a single CLUE about what he thought I knew. However, from spending some time with Aai's (mom's) friend Kookie (Kundan Kukreja, a private investigator), I knew that the best way to extract more information would be to play along.

"Virat told you....he said he wouldn't tell anyone if I helped him move the wedding date in advance-" Akash said as he clapped his palm on his mouth.

WHAT! I KNEW IT! I F*CKING KNEW IT! I knew it that Virat and Akash had been lying about Virat's trip to meet that important guy. Like you take one good look at Virat and you can tell he is a good-for-nothing loser. So the fact that HE of all people was going somewhere with a member of the parliament.....yea...that did not sit well with me. This being said, I knew how superstitious Akash was...you know given the entire 'I am bad luck'  phase he had, and so I knew that HE of all people would not have agreed to moving the wedding date...unless he had a reason...

"Don't worry Akash, I already knew that." I lied.

"Y...you did? How" Akash stuttered. Now, seeing Akash like this was different...it was fun. Who could tell that I was standing in front of one of the most successful business people in the entire country? This same Akash who could have become a world champion boxer if he got the chance was stuttering in front of me because of something he THOUGHT I knew. Damn....whatever he thinks I know must be huge.

"Oh Akash, my dear friend. You really think that Virat would tell me this thing and leave out the details?" I lied once more....which made me think...why am I not a lawyer?

"Oh sh-. I should have thought twice before letting him see me drunk...Now he told you!" Akash said as he put his head down on his desk.

Drunk? Akash? Now, I of all people did not know that those two words could go together in the same sentence. Regardless, Akash's actions were making me even more curious. What did Akash think I knew, and why is it such a big deal? Is it...could it be something related to Muskaan? I mean it would make sense since we were talking about her, and then he got nervous. We were talking about marriage and....could it mean that...could it mean that Akash still likes Muskaan? It would make so much sense...but what if that's not the case? What Akash was talking about something totally different? Nevertheless, it is totally worth asking him, even if I am wrong it is no big deal since honestly, in this scenario...what do I have to lose?
