Third Person's POV: The present time.......
Shagun looked in the distance there was a beautiful scene. A few feet away underneath the huge palm trees, there was a lane of candles that led to a square gazebo that was covered in fairy lights. Underneath the gazebo, there was bench with cushions.
Shagun just simply stared at it. From along the shoreline where she and Virat were standing that view only looked like a dream.

Shagun's POV:
Damn! Someone had really thought this out. I mean it is exactly the way I wanted my proposal to be! I mean look at this! The bench, the fairy lights, the clear sky and the twinkling stars! This is perfect! The leaves in the trees are moving in sync with the waves in the sea! What more could I ask for! Why! Why did I have to see this today? I was already sad enough, and Viru had to bring me here!
"Virat! Let's go from here." I said while tugging his arm.
"Go! Where?" Virat asked....IDIOT...WHAT A COMPLETE WASTE OF LIFE! THIS MAN DOESN"T UNDERSTAND A THING!
"Virat please let's go from here!" I pleaded. I swear! If I stay here a moment longer...IMMA CRY!
Virat then turned me to face him and looked right into my eyes and said,
"And simply waste the amount of work that was put into this?"
"Wha..What are you saying?" I stuttered. What was going on!
Virat then held my hand and led me down the lane of candles. We then sat on the bench.
"Virat, this is wrong. Someone probably set this up for something special, and we can't just-"
"Shagun, just listen. It's okay." Virat said. What does he mean by 'it's okay'? I mean you didn't put the work into it! Then...ugghhhhhhhhh!
"Shagun, do you remember what today is?" Virat asked...was today something special?
"Ummm, no I really don't remember." I replied.
"Well of course you don't! It was silly of me to ask!" Virat said while laughing.
"Virat what is it?" I asked.
"On this day, exactly 11 years ago, I began falling for you." Virat said while looking directly into my eyes.
"Wh..what?" I said shocked.
"On this day, exactly 11 years ago, I began crushing on you. A section in my heart was permanently reserved for you ever since the 8th grade! That's a different story that I truly fell in love with you 2 years ago. Ever since that day, I've been falling deeper and deeper in love with you. I don't know if you remember Shagun, but when we were in school I never used to care about what I do, what I wear, what I say, since I thought, 'who was I gonna impress?'. I mean, I thought of Muski and Akash as my siblings, and you were my best friend but...but you weren't just my friend. You were more than that. So, I started to actually care about what I did, said wore....especially around you."
"So, that's why you suddenly started acting civilized! I didn't think much of it then, I just thought you were being you! Unpredictable!" I said with a smile.
"You know Shagun, you make me want to be a better person! Shagun, you've been dealing with me for almost 20 years! I know I must have been a pain to deal with, cause of my constant teasing and horrible flirting. I must have been so annoying, but you never let go. Today I just want to ask...are you"
"Am I?" I asked. Virat then said,
"Are you ready to deal with my annoying a*s for the rest of your life? Are you ready to become Mrs.Sharma as opposed to Ms.Singh? Are you-"
"YES!" I said as I hugged him tight. Tears were flowing from my eyes. Was this is a dream? If this was a I do not want to wake up!
Virat hugged me back and we stayed like that for a while, I could not control my tears at this point. I was full on sobbing! Virat soon pulled away from our hug and rested his back against the bench. He looked at me and said,
"Oh come on Shagun! Don't cry...I'm not done yet."
"What more could you possibly have to say?" I asked.
"Who said I am going to say anything?" Virat said while emphasizing on the word 'I'
"Then who-"
Virat then got up clapped his hands and then turned his head in the direction of the trees. I too, out of curiosity got up and looked in the direction of the trees...my eyes widened in shock, everyone began coming out from behind the trees! By everyone I mean every single person I wanted there...was there! My family, Virat's family, Muskaan's mom, Sunny tai, Arya, even Ishaan and Veer were there.
"Really?" I asked. I couldn't believe this! Virat just nodded with a smile.
"Come on man! You took so long!" Akash said
"You know how hard it was to keep these guys from coming out from behind the trees?" Muskaan complained.
"Chup kar (Shut up) Muskaan!" Chandni auntie said.
"Were you guys here the entire time?" I asked.
"You bet we were! We saw everything!" Ishita bhabhi said.
Everyone then got into a circle leaving me and Virat in the middle. Once everyone was settled, Virat said,
"Shagun, every single moment I spend with you is special, cause everything about you is special! Every moment from the first time we met in the park, to the lunch breaks in school, to hanging out with you at our spot, to confessing my love to you, to today. Every moment has been special, since you were in it!"
"So, that's why you took me to those places today!" I said through my tears.
"I guess you can say that!" Virat said as he came closer and held my left hand.
"Shagun, I'm at this point in life where the only thing I want is you. F*ck! It wouldn't be wrong to say that I feel like a addict and you're my drug. I want you to be with me wherever I go. I want you to be the one I wake up to every morning, and the last thing I see before I sleep." Virat said
I was still crying at this point, Virat then wiped my tears and said,
"But there is a problem Shagun"
"What?" I asked.
"For all these things to come true something has to happen, and for that to happen, I am going to need to ask for your permission" Virat said childishly
"Then ask stupid!" I said, everyone laughed.
Virat then got down on one knee and opened a box with a gorgeous ring in it.
"Shagun, will you marry me?"
"Yes. YES! YES! YES!" I screamed.
Virat then slid the ring on my finger, and then I hugged him. Everyone began clapping and cheering for us. We then took the blessings of our elders.
"Guys! I am starving!" Arya said!
"Same!" Muskaan added.
"Okay okay! Fine! I got the food when I went to get everyone, let's eat!" Akash said.
So, everyone except Virat and I headed towards another area, a bit further away from this spot. There I saw another set up!
"Seriously Virat?" I asked.
"What?" Virat said
"You literally created a mini restaurant on the beach! Except for the part that there are no waiters! The entire set up is literally just like a restaurant!" I said
Virat then out of the blue hugged me, we stayed in that position for a while before Virat slightly pulled away and said,
"Finally! After all these years!"
"Finally" I said.
