Third Person POV: the present time......
It had been round an hour since Muskaan was taken into the ICU, Akash had called Muskaan's mother, and told her about what had happened. Obviously she was shocked, as she had never thought that something like this might happen to her child. so as soon as she heard the news, she rushed to the hospital with Sunny tai and Arya. She was seated on a chair outside the ICU, praying to god through her tears to save her daughter.
Virat had dropped Shagun off at the hospital, and had went to conduct the investigation. He considered Muskaan as his sister, and he wasn't going to let anyone harm her and get away with it.
Shagun was sitting besides Muskaan's mom, trying to console her. Many things were going inside her mind. She was still in shock that Virat is a police officer. He had told her just before he left the hospital. She honestly felt betrayed. How could Virat hide such a big thing from her? Did he not trust her? She shook all those thoughts from her mind.
"I have to think about Muskaan right now. I can't be worried about anything else." She thought.
Akash was standing right outside the ICU in hope for the doctor to emerge with some good news.
After some time, the doctor came out from the ICU, and asked,
"Who is with Muskaan Thakur"
Hearing this Akash immediately came in front and said,
"Yes doctor, how is Muskaan? Is she okay?"
"Yes, she is fine now. There is nothing to worry about. There was a bit of internal bleeding, along with some external wounds, but we have managed to save her. You can take her home in the morning." The doctor said.
As soon as those words emerged from the doctor's mouth, a wave of relief came over everyone's faces.
"Thank you so much doctor! Can we go meet her?" Mrs.Thakur said.
"It was my duty, and yes of course you can go meet her after we shift her to a general ward. She might be a bit sleepy due to the sedatives we had to inject in her body. Now will you please excuse me, I have to check up on some other patients" The doctor said, as she walked away.
"Thank god!" Shagun said as she sat down on the chair and started crying, with her hands folded.
"Shagun, shhh calm down. Muskaan is fine now. Are you going to go meet her with a crying face?" Arya said as she went and hugged Shagun.
"No, it's just that, too many things were built up in me. God knows what I was thinking! Let's go." Shagun said as she wiped her tears.
Then soon enough, they saw Muskaan being rolled by on a stretcher. She had a bandage around her head, and looked like she was in a very deep sleep.
As soon as she was placed into the general ward, Muskaan's mother, Sunny tai, Arya, and Shagun entered the ward.
Akash was going to enter, when he felt a hand on his shoulder...it was Virat.
"How is she?" Virat asked.
"She's okay now. The doctor said that we can take her home in the morning.
"Thank god!" Virat said, as he looked up and ran his fingers through his hair.
"Any news about the person who attacked Muskaan?" Akash asked.
"We have tracked down the person....well we have a suspect." Virat answered.
"Wow that soon?" Akash asked
