Muskaan's POV: The present
If I could describe by life with one word right now it would be...torn. I am torn between my feelings and experiences. Virat and Shagun put on such a facade today that is really making me think...was I wrong? I mean, Akash's story could be fake right?..but it also could be real! My experiences with Akash are telling me that he is a fake! On the other hand those same experiences are triggering the feeling that...maybe I am the one that is wrong.
I honestly don't know what to think now! I mean, that day when I met him at his office, he was trying to explain..but I didn't let him, then I didn't listen to Virat and Shagun's story when they tried to explain....I mean what should I even do! It has been too late...has it?
I took a seat on the steps outside my house, and began to think...what should I do...
"Kya soch rahi hai? (What are you thinking?)" Sunny tai said as she came with a glass of water and sat on the steps besides me.
"Nothing really, I was just wondering if I have wronged Akash." I confessed.
"Why would you think that? Since all these years you have been cursing him, and telling us how bad he is, and how he broke your heart. What would have happened to cause yo to have such a change of heart that you are now willing to meet him?" Sunny tai asked
"Shagun and Virat put up that entire drama that they did, just to explain how I should give Akash a chance before I make any judgement about him, and his character" I explained
"Ek baar mil le usse (Meet him once)Maybe you will be able to eliminate those misunderstandings..if there are any" Sunny tai said as she put her hand on my shoulder
"Why though? What difference will it make? I mean what's the point of going back, after all these years?" I asked
"It will make a big difference! Trust me. If the love is real, then no amount of separation can cause you to separate. Insaan alag ho sakte hain...par dil..woh kabhi alag nahin ho sakte. (People can separate..but the heart..the hearts can never separate.) If your love was true and pure then, you two will definitely get back together. It just matters if you take the first step or not. Trust me, if you wait too long, it might be too late. " Sunny tai said calmly
"How do you know? As far as you have told me...you never loved anyone." I asked
"I did...I did love someone, and that too a lot." Sunny tai said, she looked like she was going down memory lane. Me being the curious person I am decided to ask her...
"So, what happened?"
She looked at me and said....
"Well, it all started when I was 22 years old, I was a pretty little thing back then. Very skinny, beautiful, just like you. As you know, I had never been to school. I had many dreams Muski, but I guess fate had other plans for me. As soon as I turned 20 my parents had started looking for an eligible..oh who am I kidding..they wanted to find the first man who was willing to marry me, so that they get rid of this *points to herself* burden off their shoulders. So, they found a man...his name was Shravan. He was a very tall, and handsome man. On our first meeting Shravan and I weren't really ready for this marriage. My parents didn't care, so when I courageously asked Shravan for some time to get to know him..he surprisingly agreed! We met occasionally at a tea stall near my house, and I don't even know when I fell for him. Day by day, meeting by meeting my love for Shravan grew stronger, Mujhe pata hi nahin chala ke kab pyar...... ishq mein badal gaya! (I didn't even notice when my love turned into something more!) One day I built up some courage and told him that 'Shravan...I love you'."
