Shagun's POV: The present time..........

I am really sad right now. I have been dreaming of what it would be like to get proposed for like forever! I was really hoping that Virat would take the time to create a nice proposal that would blow my mind, but he doesn't want to waste that much time. I mean, I know that a proposal is unnecessary, but then again, ever since I saw how my brother proposed to my sister-in-law, I have had this dream that one day I too will experience the same happiness that Ishita bhabhi (sister-in-law) felt that day, when she was finally asked by my brother to be his life partner.

I needed to talk to someone, but all of my family members were at Virat's house so I went to Priya's room (Shagun's snake), and you might find it weird, but I started to talk to her.

"Priya, Virat is not going to propose to me! I am sad." I confessed as I sat down on the chair beside her cage.

Obviously she didn't say anything but she stared at me.

"I don't think that I would have spent the money either...after all I am from a middle class family, I don't have the money to spend on a lavish proposal." I confessed.

She still continued to stare at me...as if she was listening.

"Then I think that Virat's family is pretty rich, then why doesn't he want to.....never mind." I continued.

"Maybe I'm not worth his time and money" I thought.

I then sat near her cage and wiped my tears, I then realized that it had been an hour since I had came home, and Virat said that he would pick me up at 7:00 p.m., I then thought that he could be here any moment now since it was already 6:55 p.m., so I rushed back to my room to get ready.

I changed out of my clothes and put on a nice off- shoulder yellow knee length dress. I then applied a bit of makeup to make my eyes look less puffy, and to make myself look more presentable in general.

After I was done getting ready for this spontaneous beach trip that Virat had planned for us, I went downstairs and sat in the living room to wait for him.

Soon enough the doorbell rang and I went to go answer it....

I opened the door and saw Virat who was dressed in black jeans and a blue t-shirt, he had the prettiest bouquet of lilies that I ever saw! I'm not just saying that because lilies are my favorite flowers, but the array of colors that were present in this bouquet was just stunning!

I looked up at him,

'He looks so handsome' I thought.

"Umm Shagun, are you done staring?" He asked with smirk.

I quickly looked away feeling embarrassed. He then tapped my shoulder and handed me the bouquet of flowers and said,

"Beautiful flowers for an even more beautiful girl."

I blushed at his comment and then realized that we were still going to the beach. So I said,

"Umm, Virat, we are still going to the beach right?"

"Yeah! Let's go!" He said as he headed towards his jeep.

So I quickly put the flowers in an empty vase in the living room and locked the door to my house and then sat in his jeep.

"So, Virat, why are we going to the beach all of a sudden?" I asked.

"Oh, I just wanted to make your mood better, that's all." He answered.

"Oh okay" I said.

I was honestly a bit disappointed, I know I may sound a bit weird when I say this, but I thought he was going to say sorry for making me feel sad.
