Chapter 10

Virat's POV: The present time

"Jai Shri Krishna Anju! (Hello Anju!)" I greeted Anju who replied by giving me a warm hug
"My Viru has come! I missed you so much!" Anju said
"I missed you too Ba!" I said, I called her Ba (grandma) just to tease her! She never liked it when she was adresses by anything but her name!
"Su? (What?) Don't you dare call me...ME....Anjumati Sharma, Ba!" Anju threatened
"Sorry, Anju! I was just pulling your leg!" I said innocently
"Chalse beta (it's okay dear). Now what did you do the entire day? Anything special happen?" Anju asked mischievously
"Yes...in fact a lot happened today! I'll tell you when we are completely alone!" I said gesturing towards my parents sitting in the living room.

I then made made my way to the living room to greet my parents.

"Jai Shri Krishna Mummy Pappa! (Hello mom and dad!)" I greeted
"Jai Shri Krishna beta (hello dear!)" my dad greeted, I was wondering why Mom didn't greet me back, but she didn't seem angry since she was smiling at me.
I raised my eyebrows towards my dad to ask him what happened
"She has been silent for the entire hour, she says it's so that you stay safe!" Dad said with a chuckle
"Okay....but mom, as long as I have my family with me, nothing could go wrong!" I said, I said this partially out of true emotion and partially from the hope that she would just give up on her superstitious beliefs.
"Okay beta (dear), go eat dinner with your Ba, *Anju glares at him for calling her Ba* she didn't eat since she was waiting for you! Your mom had to eat at exactly 5:30 pm today, I ate to give her company!" My dad joked.
"Okay, let's go Anju!" I said as I made my way to the kitchen.

Me and Anju ate our dinner, and then after saying good night to my parents, we went to my Ba...oops! Anju's room to talk about my day.

"Sooo, what happened?" Anju asked with a raised eyebrow
"Well Anju, remember when Ishita didi (didi means sister) got married, all our kaka kaki's (uncles and aunties) were teasing me on when I will get married..." I said with a smile
"Right! Oh that Nirmala even brought you a proposal from her niece! What does that have to do with today...." Anju asked curiously.
"Remember Shagun?" I asked her...hoping that she will get the hint
"Yes beta she is a very good girl! Didn't you say you liked her?"Anju asked with a smirk
"Not like Anju....love!" I corrected with a shy smile
"Ohhh right! Didn't you say that she doesn't feel the same way about you though?" Anju asked, she was still confused.
"That all changed today!" I said with a grin
"Oh my god beta really!?" Anju exclaimed as she pulled me into a nice warm hug
"What exactly happened was......" I then narrated the entire day's events, starting from how Muskaan called us to the park, how Shagun bumped into me, to how she started blushing, to how I met Akash and how I convinced him to turn into his old self again....

"Good job! I always knew my Viru would accomplish great things in his life! Now make sure your two friends get back together! As for Shagun....we will wait until she is totally sure about her feelings, I will personally talk about you two to your parents!" Anju said as she pulled me into a hug and said

"You are the best thing that has ever happened to me! May good bless you my child!"
"I love you too Anju!" I said

We both sat there for a good 20 minutes before I went to my room to go to sleep.
I was just sitting on my bed when my phone rang...who is it calling at 10:00 in the night?
I picked up the call....

"Okay I will be there!" I answered, and then I left to go to where I needed to be!
