Virat's POV: The present time.......

I did it...I freaking did it! I proposed! She said yes! I am literally the happiest person in this entire world at the moment! As of now we are sitting around the table eating dinner. 

"Virat, when did you have the time to set this up?" Anju asked.

"First of all, I didn't set it up." I answered.

"Then who did?" Mom asked.

"Don't tell me that you just saw this setup and went and proposed!" Dad said....always taunting me isn't he.

"No uncle, he didn't steal the set up, and he didn't set it up himself." Muskaan answered.

"Then how did this happen?" Chandni auntie (Muskaan's mom) asked.

"Well you see uncle Virat always had this dream-"

"That's enough Akash!" I said while glaring at Akash. He was gonna expose me! I was not allowing that!

"What was the dream?" Shagun asked me. 

What am I supposed to say! Shagun is looking at me, My family is staring at me! Her family is glaring at me! My friends are laughing at me! My mind is swearing at me! What do I say! 

Mataji raksha karjo (God help me!)

"The dream was to have you in my life! I mean what else could I possible ask for!" I lied

"Oh" The entire group except for my friends said....they bought it! They actually bought it!

Jai Mata di (Praise be upon God) Sometimes I really think....why am I an intelligence officer! Why did I not go into the acting industry?

I just hope none of my friends tell Shagun what my dream actually was!

Hey Mata rani, aa shaitani dimaag wala mara friends thi raksha karjo (Oh God, please save me from my devil minded friends)

"Is that so Virat? Cause this morning you said something else." Muskaan said 

Satyanaash! (Totally destroyed!)

"Virat, the truth this time! Please!" Shagun said while looking at me with her cute puppy eyes. Ughh she will be the death of me!

"Fine! I'll tell you. So, you know in grade 8 I had a crush on you right?" I started. There goes the image I built for myself...

"Yeah" Shagun said.

"So, basically one day after school, when nobody was at home, I made this painting of how I would propose to you in the future." I said....and then immediately regretted it. You couldn't have used your acting skills here?

"OHHHHHH" Everyone exclaimed.

"Okay, but that still doesn't explain how this was set up." Akash said with a smirk.

"Yea, wait I'm getting to that! So, I had initially planned to propose to Shagun in like a month or so, like on Diwali, but then stuff happened so I obviously couldn't do that. This proposal was actually supposed to be wayyyyy better than this-" 

"What do you mean! This was like the best proposal ever!" Shagun said.

"No it wasn't, this wasn't even a fraction of what I had planned." I said

"Then why didn't you propose the way you wanted to Virat?" Ishita didi asked.

"Cause she was crying this morning di! Like come on! All of you were there this morning right? You saw how sad she was! My surprise wasn't worth her tears!" I said.
