Virat's POV: The present time.......

"Virat! Come on! Do you see how sad she is!" Ishita didi said.

"Virat beta, come on I thought you would do this for Shagun!" Sunny tai said.

"She honestly deserves more than you!" Akash said while giving me the stink eye.

I looked around the living room, everyone had 1 of 2 emotions, they were either looking at Shagun sadly, or glaring at me angrily. I just leaned back into the couch, and tried to chillax, I knew what I was doing.

"Guys I told you, I'm fine with it. If he doesn't want to do something, we shouldn't force him." Shagun said.

Oh my dear Shagun, don't be so sad......

"But Shagun, you had so many expectations right, you always told Ishita and me about your dreams of getting proposed by Virat. Why should my princess compromise?" Vishal jiju (brother-in-law) said.

"It's okay bhai (brother), mom says that every girl has to compromise for her wedding, I guess it's my turn now." Shagun said sadly.

Shagun, don't get so emotional, I won't be able to contain myself, and I might even ruin the surprise for you!

"Virat! This is not done man, like seriously! You love her so much but you can't even do this small thing for her!" Mummy said.

"It's okay." Shagun said as she looked down.

I looked at her intensely, her eyes were lined with tears. This is all because of me!

'F*ck this sh*t man! Your surprise isn't worth her tears!' I said to myself.

I got up and went to where Shagun was sitting and knelt down in front of her. I then took her hands in mine and said,

"Shagun, listen-"

"It's okay Virat you don't owe me an explanation." Shagun said in a tone that sounded like she was going to cry.

I wanted to tell her about the surprise, but then I thought let's bend this a bit, and make it more interesting.

"I wasn't going to explain anything, but okay....I was just going to ask you if you were ready to go to the beach at 7:00 in the evening." I said.

"Virat! Here this girl is going to cry because you made her sad, and you are talking about taking her to the beach?" Anju said.

'Oh! Only if you understood what I wanted to do!' I thought.

"No no! It's okay dadiji (grandma), I will go home rest for a little bit and then you can come pick me. Is that okay Viru?" Shagun asked as she gave me a slight smile and went outside.

"Okay, then we will all be on our way then!" Shobha auntie said as she was about to get up.

'No! They can't go now! It will ruin the setting!' I thought

"NO! Auntie please all of you wait right here! I will come back home with Shagun by maximum 9:00 p.m. please wait another hour or two!" I said, hoping that they would stay back.

"What the f*ck is this Virat!" Muskaan yelled.

"Calm down, you have no idea of what I'm going to do!" I said in a serious tone.

"Really, what are you going to do?" Akash asked.

"What do you think I'm going to do?" I asked.

"You are probably taking her to the beach, then you will buy her ice cream, joke around then come back home. What else will you do?" Papa said in an annoyed tone.

"I was going to...wait, instead of me telling you about what I'm going to do, why don't you all come to the beach in exactly.....what time is it now? 6:00 p.m.....lets say in 2 hours? Then you will see for yourself." I said as I went up to my room to change and grab something.

Third Person's POV: The present time......

"I don't understand. What is happening!" Shobha Singh asked.

"I don't know Shobha, let's just hope Virat knows what he is doing." Vijay Singh answered.

"I swear if he does anything to make my sweet little sister cry today, then it won't be good for him!" Vishal said angrily.

"Calm down bhai (brother), Viru would never try to hurt Shagun intentionally" Akash said.

Everyone just sat calmly on the couch waiting to see what would happen next.

Suddenly Akash's phone started to ring and he answered it.

"Hello?"

"What!"

"You're what!"

"Oh god Vi-Vi- Vikram!"

"All of a sudden!"

"How will you manage!"

"Okay fine! We will be there!"

Akash said as he disconnected the call.

"What happened Akash" Muskaan asked.

"You know our client....Mr. Vikram Tripathi?" Akash said.

"Mr. Vikram Tripathi? Who's that?" Muskaan said.

"Muskaan, Mr.Vikram Tripathi" Akash said while tilting his head in an upwards direction. He hoped the Muskaan had gotten the hint.

Muskaan's eyes narrowed as she  still hadn't understood what Akash meant. Nevertheless she said,

"Ah yes! Mr. Vikram Tripathi, I remember him! What happened?"

"He has run into a problem while making a proposal for the purchase of a company,  he needs some help so we need to go." Akash explained.

"Why do we need to go?" Muskaan asked.

"He has to prepare the paperwork for the proposal." Akash said, as he was constantly looking at Muskaan with pleading eyes.

Muskaan was still clueless about what was going on, so she tried to get more information by asking,

"Why do we have to go, doesn't he have his own lawyer?"

"His lawyer is on vacation Muski samjha kar! (Try to understand!)" Akash said while hitting his hand on his head.

Muskaan didn't know what was happening, but decided to play along.

"Oh I see."

"So, you me and Arya have to go and help the poor man out." Akash said.

"Me? Why me?" Arya asked.

"You are my assistant are you not? Now let's go!" Akash said as he, Muskaan, and Arya got up and headed towards the door.

"Where are you guys going?" Virat asked as he came down the stairs.

Akash gave him a 'are you for real' look and said,

"One of my fellow friends has a problem, we have to go sort his problem out." Akash said.

"Oh okay, good luck!" Virat said.

Akash, Muskaan, and Arya said bye to everyone and left. Virat then said bye to everyone and then left to do what he needed to do.
