Chapter 38

Third Person's POV: The present time......

"So, since that's over with, what's the deal between you and Shagun?" Ishita asked. 

"Yes Virat, Shagun told us about how you two were-"

"WERE! What do you mean by were?" Virat exclaimed which caused everyone except Shagun to start laughing. 

"I mean to say...you two ARE in a relationship. So, what should be done next?" Shobha Singh, asked with a smile.

Virat was confused, he didn't know what to say. Shagun and him hadn't even talked on the subject of what was their next step. 

'What the f*ck am I supposed to say? Shagun and I haven't even talked about this yet! I mean she still looks pretty upset with me! What should I say' Virat thought. 

Then in a matter of seconds, Virat came up with the best thing to say in this situation. 

"Ask Shagun, I'd like to go with what she decides." Virat said with a smile.

"Ohhh ask Shagun!" Everyone said teasingly.

"Okay, so Shagun, what do you have to say beta?" Veena asked Shagun.

"I don't know." Shagun answered plainly.

"What do you mean by 'I don't know'" Arya asked.

"You do want to marry Virat right?" Akash asked.

"What type of question is this Akash! Of course she wants to marry him! She loves him a lot...right Shagun?" Muskaan asked worriedly. 

"Shagun, we're asking you something."  Vijay Singh, Shagun's dad said, 

"I don't know what to say, I mean... I just don't know." Shagun answered.

Virat's POV: the present time........

What the f*ck does she mean by 'I don't know'! 

Does she not love me?

 Did she ever love me?

 Was this a waste of time?

So many questions swarmed in my head, I was getting very irritated due to her answer. Was one lie... a lie that wasn't even bad...was that all it took to break our relationship? I needed an answer...and I needed it now! 

"Do you even want to marry me?" I asked.

Shagun and everyone else turned to look at me, my eyes were focused on Shagun....I needed an answer.

"ummmmm..I-" 

"I think I got my answer." I said as I got up and started to head towards my room,  I was very angry. I didn't want to take my anger out on anyone, so I wanted to be in solitude so that I could calm down.  I knew that if anyone tried to stop me now, I would immediately loose my cool. 

"Virat wait!"  

Shagun.....

"Virat, wait we need to talk!" Shagun said as she grabbed my hand from behind... I turned around and looked down at her...trying...just trying to stay calm.

"Talk about what Shagun?" I asked in the calmest tone I could possibly use at the moment. 

"U..us" Shagun answered as she looked up at me. Her eyes were filled with tears. I felt bad for just a second...a small little second, but then again....I needed an answer.
