Chapter 19

Shagun's POV: The present time....

Okay look, I'm not one of those weird creepy suspicious stalker like girls but...but...why was Virat talking to the idiot who broke my friend's heart!? Like it's not like he had a friendly conversation with him but still! Just don't talk to the freaking person! Anyways I don't want to ruin the moment!

Right now I'm in the car with him, we are going to our meeting spot. Virat has something he wants to tell me...maybe even confess his feelings? I gave a shy smile to that thought. I don't want to think of today! This morning after I came back from shopping with Ishita didi, my darling Priya baby was sick so I called Virat cause...why not spend some time with him? So we went to the vet and there I saw that irritating person's face! You guessed right I saw Akash Malhotra ughhh! My entire day has gone bad except now...because I'm with Virat!

"Shagun?" Virat's voice snapped me out of my thoughts
"Yes?" I answered
"What do you have as a pet?" Virat asked
"Ummmm...guess?" I asked
"Okay tell me it's name, I'll guess by that"Virat said
"Nagarani Nagashree Nagini Nagalata Pheni Nagapriya...we call her Priya in short" I said
"Wait...so you have 6 pets?" Virat asked as he counted on his fingers
"No no silly! I have one pet, but daddy named her with such a long name!" I explained
"I should have guessed! Your father has an incredible sense of humour!" Virat exclaimed
"Okay now guess my darling pet! I mean you must have guessed by now" I said
"I'm still not able to guess! All these names are based on snakes, so I want to say a snake. Then again knowing your daddyji, he won't keep a simple name so that people can guess his pet! Also you are such a cute girl why would you have a snake as a pet?" Virat said as he parked the car as we has reached the meeting spot.
"Kitna bhola hai re tu? (How innocent are you?)" I asked sweetly as I took Priya's cage out of the car. Virat looked at me with a shocked and suspicious expression.
"W...what do you mean?" Virat asked suspiciously
"I'll open the door of the cage and you can see don't scream though!" I explained
"Okay" Virat said while tapping his right hand on the left side of his chest and saying 'all is well'

I slowly opened my darling's cage and Virat peeped inside and immediately fell backwards! I quickly closed Priya's cage and put the cage down.

"Viru! Get up! What happenedd?" I asked
"Te saap raakhyo che? (You have a snake?)" Virat exclaimed in Gujarati...he is probably scared.
"Virat! I don't understand Gujarati! Don't say anything about my Sweetu!" I defended
"A sweet che? Tari a 18 foot lambi saap ni maa sweet che? To pachi tara hisaab thi kadvu su che? (This is sweet? Your 18 foot long mother of snakes is sweet? In that case what is bitter according to you?)" Virat was literally panicking...that's why due to fear he was speaking in Gujarati.....his sweet Gujarati. The sad thing is...I don't understand Gujarati.
"Viru! Viru listen to me! I don't understand Gujarati! So whatever you want to say, say it in Hindi!" I said with a frown
"Sorry. I'm shocked that you have this....this...ginormous snake as a p...pet!" Virat confessed
"It's okay, now tell me what were you going to say?" I asked curiously. As soon as I posed the question Virat's face dropped. He became extremely serious and that's not normal for him....

"Okay Shagun look, before I tell you I need you to promise me that you will let me complete what I say and not start walking away before I finish my story." Virat said while looking straight into my eyes
"Yes of course!" I said....now though I was really wondering what he wanted to say.

"Ok look Shagun, you and I both know that I have feelings for you and I have a feeling that you too feel for me. So, one day or another we will end up confessing to each other as then be in a relationship and what not. So before our feelings get any stronger than they are right now, there is something you must know" Virat said....he was scaring me at this point. Regardless I nodded my head to let him know to keep on going.

"Me and Akash are still friends!" Virat said suddenly. Him...him and Akash are still friends? Why? How?
"V..vi-"
"No Shagun! You promised to let me finish" Virat said as he interrupted me. I once again nodded my head
"So basically.......

Virat then narrated to me Akash's side of the story. How his parents were divorced and his dad still used to come to his house and beat up his mother...but would leave no proof. He then told me how his dad died and his mother is still in coma and how Akash feels like he is bad luck to anyone he loves. He told me how Akash loved and still loves Muskaan but he didn't want to confess to her because of the fact that he thinks it is bad luck.

By the end of his story I was in tears. How could someone love someone so much that they are willing to sacrifice their love for them? I would never be able to do what Akash did! I took him as a bad mean cruel idiot who broke my best friend's heart! When he was actually a guy who loved a girl so much that he was willing to sacrifice his love for her safety.

"Akash is so dumb!" I said through my tears
"Shagun!" Virat yelled. I was silent for a second, Virat has never yelled at me or anyone he loves. I then continued...
"Why would he believe in stupid things like this? You love the girl right? If you have love with you then why are you thinking of such superstitious things!"
"That's exactly what I was thinking!" Virat said as he wiped my tears. It felt so good though.....I then thought I have behaved very badly with him! Whenever and wherever I would see him I would scowl at him and then turn and walk the other way. I should apologize...and that's what I will do!

"I want to apologize to him Virat" I said confidently. Virat responded by giving me an extra shocked expression. He looked at me like 'what the hell did you just say'
"Yes Viru! I want to apologize to him! I have been so mean! I will apologize" I said as I got up and took Priya's cage and put it in his Jeep
"Okay, that's a great idea." Virat said as he too got up and dusted off his pants and shirt. He then slowly came close to me...we were like 30 centimetres apart....if you don't kiss me right now....
"You know what else is a good idea?" Virat asked as he came a bit more closer
"W...wh...what?" I stammered...I didn't know what was going to happen next. My heat was beating at like 100 beats per second. Not that I was scared of what he will do next cause I trust him that much. My heart was beating due to excitement...is today the day I'll get my first kiss? I looked down shyly. Virat then put two fingers under my chin and brought my head up and said....
"First the snake leaves then I'll take you anywhere!"
Ugh! I was so excited for what could have been my first kiss but no! Virat has a problem with my darling Priya. I quickly nodded my head and opened the door to his Jeep and sat inside. You are so mean Viru Sharma! Virat then smiled at me and ran his fingers through his hair....I wish I could do that....
Virat then came and sat in the car and we started driving.

"Junior where are we going?" I asked
"First we are going to drop your darling Priya home then I'm taking you to Akash's house." Virat said. He made it very clear that he hated my Priya.
"Shut up! I only got my Priya a week ago at a pet shelter! She is only 2 months and she is only 8 feet long!" I defended
"Fine whatever! First Priya leaves!" Virat said.

So we then dropped Priya home and then Virat took me to Akash's house.........
